  1. Thank you all for your input. I understand you are all trying to help and I very well understand how police and SWAT work in real life. However I was looking for a clarification on how the developers were going to integrate this into the game and how it was going to work, not just for me but for all of you as it seems you are all in the dark as much as I am. To be honest I looking for an answer more from moderators and developers rather than equally blind players. Don't take what i said into offence, i may have worded it wrong, I'm very tired lol.

  2. How many people will be able to afford any of that? Most people will be starting off as citizens with a 30$ package. In any case, police have to respond to robberies considering weapons will be hard to acquire. I hope politicians will make similar guns laws to Canada.

  3. There is a prison system in the game. So theres a whole community in prison. It would be fun. Sentencing, from what I've seen, will depend on the crime. There's jail then theres prison. Assuming you're talking about jail, you're looking at no more than an hour of jail time. This will vary from 5 to 45 minutes in jail for petty crimes. Prison is another thing. You commit murder, armed robbery etc, you're looking at prison time for a matter of hours. If you read through the forums a lot is uncertain but from what I've read, thats the direct they're headed in.

Uhm, what? Sorry but you don't sound very serious, and if you are well then there's a problem. If you'd take a moment to look through some of the posts here on the forum, you'll see that the devs have a system in place to prevent players in law enforcement from trolling or minging. For example, you can only arrest people if they have committed a crime, and if you go around trying to kill them with next to no reason, or a poor reason at that, you'll actually find yourself banned from the server. You could try the private servers, but with an attitude like that I doubt they'll give you much of a chance to try any of what you've said here.

This game is role-play orientated, if you're only interested in abusing your power in an unrealistic fashion; I suggest purchasing Garry's Mod, and playing DarkRP (A gamemode that really isn't RP at all), and you'll find plenty of opportunities to RDM on there.

I hope it won't be just chases and shootouts. I'd be down to just have a pull over, or a frisk or a nice and sweet arrest.

I dont think it works like that. If you assassinate someone then the cops will be called to your last known location, then when they are within talking range they see a red flag above your head. If you remain hidden you should be okay

Don't forget there is a 911 system where players can call the police. Im honestly excited to see how the whole Cops'n'Robbers system is gonna work

  6. Will there be security cameras in the game? I think it would be a great idea. In shops, around shops and banks looking onto the street. It could be useful in an investigation. If someone is covering their face during a crime they would be harder to identify, if they don't have their face covered during a crime police would easily be able to identify and issue a warrant or hunt them. Also, it would reduce trolls. If a shop owner reported a robbery, he could either be lying to distract or send the police on a goose chase or telling the truth. A camera system would help in many cases .

    Hey Guys,

Just checking in here. I have 10 years of fire and EMS experience IRL. I have noticed on some Arma 3 Servers that community police like to use 10 codes. If you are going to go for realism on your server, I would like to tell you that the FCC here in America does not support the use of 10-codes for the very reason that it confuses people. If you were to encounter another police officer, fire department, or EMS unit from a neighboring town their 10 codes may not reflect your 10 codes. That is why the FCC tells you to use plain English.

The reason for the 10-codes was for quick radio traffic, and also so that people in scanner land wouldn't know what was happening.

    Anyway, food for thought.

It'll be too easy for criminals. I think the police community on Identity should create their own codes.

  8. Will police officers be able to do something about trolls causing nuisance but who aren't really breaking the law? Will there be a counter measure for trolls in the departments?

  9. Don't have one built for games, maybe in a year. I just really wanna be able to play on Mac with decent graphics and a good fps rate until i get a PC. They said it would be available for Mac so I'd assume they would make it as compatible with a Mac as a gaming PC, ya know without the shitty fps or low graphics.

  10. Can we get a clarification on the SWAT system? How and when will they be called? Will they have to wait until they are called? Can an officer be a patrol officer and swat at the same time?

Sadly No, this is because the devs want clear distinction between cops and criminals/ civilians which I think is good as because you know who is who and can't walk into a undercover cop trap. Also yes it has been asked and answered before but I cannot remember where; so instead here is a few links for more answers you may ask for in the future:

    FAQ

    FAQ Extended

Will the trials be like real life? With defences such as entrapment if a cop encourages you to commit a crime? And what if there are undercover criminals in the force? For example an officer giving information to criminals about police whereabouts etc.?
