I mean eventually consoles will become equal or similar to PC. Graphics can only get more advanced for a few more decades until there's no need to have to constantly upgrade the hardware every 6-8 years.

That is highly unlikely, as consoles have become known for the "standard" for gaming quality, where PC has always pushed the community.

Consoles will always remain a bit behind PCs for the base fact of the mass consumer market that won't or cannot spend the money on a gaming PC.

This is how it has always worked within the market, and it probably won't change because it has worked so well for so long.

  2. Though it would be awesome to drive lisenced vehicles however obtaining lisencing would be very costly and time consuming for Asylum.

Major developers like Rockstar and Ubisoft use the loophole of creating parodies of major vehicle manufacturers to avoid lisencing costs. The main reasoning is budgeting and the cost and time it would take with lisenced manufacturers.

Asylum would be better off spending their money and time on creating a large amount of unique vehicles rather than trying to get brands like Ford, Dodge, etc.

As for music this can be costly and can also hurt their reputation if an artist becomes disgruntled with Asylum's use. The issue here is developers can make a contract with the artist or the producer for the use of music within a game.

Rockstar for instance has been known to skip over artists and make deals with producers to avoid paying a large sum to the artist themselves. Many have attempted to sue, however they cannot do anything due to it impeding on the producers contract for usage. Situations like this can cause serious issues for developers with their fan base.

Asylum's best and safest route is to look to independent artists for music to avoid producers attempting to get involved, and should stick with parodies of real vehicle brands and styles.

Well it's the "crime" section, so...

Fair point. Just seemed more like a suggestion/idea to me, but this is a section simply dedicated to crime and criminality, which this does fit into. You are right

ooh!? must  of missed that part, interesting to know!~ hopefully we will see more insight to what they plan to do with it!~

If you check the Identity YouTube, I believe they just put up a video regarding clothing recently there. It may even be a recording of the Dev Stream. Unfortunately I havent had the chance to watch it yet, but it may have some answers for you.

That's considering private servers are free themselves, which I doubt will be true for all of them... But OP does what he wants with his money, and we're just fooling around with the idea :)

Well I imagine to set up a private server will cost money, but I doubt joining one will (unless they are that hardcore that they charge lol). Most private RP servers that I have been a part of only have donation systems, which is up to you if you want to donate.

You are right tho, if the OP does want to spend money, I am sure Asylum won't say no lol.

  6. I think what the OP is more looking for with Identity will be the private servers. Asylum has mentioned (though I do not think in detail) about the ability of private servers and that they will be have some ability to adapt their server for a more serious RP. I am not sure if perma-death has been mentioned as an option but I imagine they probably will have some system for perma-death for the private servers.

That way your character and the consequences of their actions will carry a heavy weight,  but it won't cost you any more money than what you spent on purchasing the game.

  7. If implemented right, I think this would be beneficial for police in APBs on vehicles, but I think if implemented, it should only be in metropolitan areas and possibly major roadways.

If used properly, I could also see EMS and FD even using this service for rerouting around congestion for quick response to emergency situations.

Unbelievable, seems like some just cant help hijacking and derailing threads when trying to build hype before anything even happens. Its obvious there isn't any military in this new game. There was little information provided for a reason but its obvious some just love doing what they do..

No hijacking or derialing here bud. Just pointing out how your "great and amazing concept" does not have any place in Identity.

The "little information" the developers provided was more than enough information to know Military/Milita aspects are not part of the game.

Perhaps instead of trying to blame others, educate yourself and don't make threads proving how little effort, knowledge and understanding you have for the game and community.

If you know, you're already ahead of the pack. If you need to ask, then you don't need to know. So, stand in line.

Well enjoy standing in line. Pretty sure they have stated there is no military in the game. Have fun.

Talk religion or else for the game only :)

I do apologize for my input on the matter.  I will refrain from further discussion of religion outside of Identity.

The Catholic Church is still here though and their hands have never been clean.  They are also one of the wealthiest organizations in the world.  It's possible the biggest killers could be people like Hitler and Stalin, but at the same time killing does not necessarily equal success at crime.  Smart criminals actually avoid pissing off the police because it brings heat on them and messes with their profits.  Also the Catholic Church supported Hitler.  They didn't have a problem with him because they hated Jews and he was just getting rid of the competition.  They had been spreading antisemitic propaganda long before Hitler's rise to power and arguably had a huge influence on all of Europe in terms of hatred toward Jews.

What you reference here is still a form or Democide, with a government power attempting genocide of multiple races.

Also the Holocaust may not be the best reference to a true and realistic history. Considering the Jewish people have lied about  incidents  (Jew soap is just one example) and have lied about the numbers of those lost. Not to mention, history is normally written by the winner, and can be completely bias towards the truth of what happened.

Religion may have killed millions over history. Democide has killed billions and has caused some of the biggest wars in the history of humanity.

  12. This idea could be good and bad.

The bad has basically been covered above in this discussion, with how it would work against the fun and the ability to RP with friends.

It could be good though if hypothetically, if say a Host had multiple servers, and upon death you would start in another one of the servers controlled by the same host of the one you died in. You could bounce around the servers all controlled by the same Host.

This could be very interesting because it would make high risk actions more dangerous for those involved, with the ability of death and being removed for the server. With that being said,  players wouldn't ultimately loss friends, because they would still be in the same group of servers, and eventually they would be in the same server again.

    • If Identity could:
    • - Have an economy where each player is themselves valued comparatively by wallet currency / credits ( WORTH 25X RL$ )
    • - Allow custom symbols to be created and traded between players, running a stock simulation ( FOREX STYLE )
    • - Player can trade items to fluctuate the economy in real-time (like on the charts)
    • - Bankrupt companies, seize companies, insider trade, or learn the economics of an ethical business

    Wait tehre's . more

Then ID credits get converted back to RL with a branded credit card. Run a conversion and a transaction like the Bitcoin realm can. Hope that players come back to refill their branded credit card to play more Identity. :P

This sounds unnecessary and ultimately a system that will force this game to only become playable to a select group of consumer, which defeats the base of which they have built this game on.

They have stated multiple times that this will not be Play-To-Win, and with the history of P2W games, it is a wise choice.

  14. Trackers, Scramblers, Classics, Modern Classics, Cafe Racers, Bobbers, Brats, Bob-Brats, Baggers, Choppers, Street Fighters, Trikes, Crotch Rockets, Etc.

Even just a base of each that we can build and customize to our liking. Custom Bars, Blocks, Tanks, Frames, Fairings, Wheels, Exhausts, etc, would be amazing to have, or even for us to try and manufacture in game ourselves.

So if the Governor decides to make drugs legal would overall be bad for drug dealers. Because on one hand, I can see it being good b/c they can't get arrested for making and selling drugs but on the other hand wouldn't there be more competition from other people wanting to get in the game without consequences? What do you guys think?

Normally governments legalise narcotics to force it out of the underground, making it very difficult to make a good profit off of illegal sales and distribution.

Profits can still be made, however due to government involvement,  it becomes more difficult to remain in control of the market, meaning price and demand may fluctuate in a massive way (again due to the government involvement).

Forcing anything out of the underground market is both good and bad, as it could cause the underground to move away from a product. However this also could cause some in the underground to try and manipulate the narcotic scene, normally through tainting or creating bad batches.

I am not sure how realistic the underground will be in Identity, but I hope realism is very important.
