I know and it will be kinda fun to load up the truck and transport stuff from one side of the map to the other.

I hope the game actually features somesort of locking system (for the object) to stay on the trailer, not just hover in the air and clip through the vehicle as you drive off

I think they should be an Adult filter to allow the option so only people that wants the option can unlock it if they are of legal age. Otherwise the option could be either locked or different such as The Sims blurry effect instead of the real thing.

If that's the case, it will uncover a hidden population of 117 year olds.

Do not expect saints row levels of Customization. There is no way in hell they have the budget for that. However, I think it's very likely female characters will be able to wear suits.

Saints Row is it's own thing. There's no coming close or surpassing it. We're talking exclusively about clothing here, not body type

That would be straight up ideal, holy how. I really hope they don't restrict clothing to "body types." Don't get my hopes too high ;)

In Saints Row all clothing fitted any type of body they were on. May it be a skinny school girl or a fat 10ft high chrome blue ogre with lipstick on. All comes down to creativity with the tools you're given, really.

  5. If it does, I hope it fixes the issue of joining a Gmod server.

    >Join server

    >loading

    > *INSTALLING FOUR COPIES OF ARMA 3 AND WITCHER 3 ONTO YOUR PC*

    > "sending server client for another half an hour"

Then everything is the purple checkered texture and everything is cancer because you didn't install the Stargate mod and download WireMod from k4pitaliztpiksmustdie.ru.cn

I think this is actually a fantastic point, also improves the rollplaying aspect a bit too. Imagine being a clueless customer going to a cowboy shop and them overcharging you significantly because you have no idea how to fix your car. I think that'd be hilarious.

That's just called being greedy. It would be funny for a let's play, but imagine every. single. workshop. jumping on the bandwagon trying to recreate that one joke. If everyone has millions of dollars to spend due to high-rewarding tasks, then yea.

Even more generalized? The ones I posted are already simplified for everybody!

PS: yeah, I know my parts. I actually have my own workshop irl

(pic. google image search didn't show anything. Timestamp would be okay, but I consider it true)

    Stuff like

    >Magnetic oil drain plug

    >Rod bearings

    >oil pan size

    >bushings

etc. etc. seem a bit overkill for a roleplaying game. Not to mention the headache to get these minor things fixed. Having come from many other games where vehicles have a general health bar, I can imagine how afraid we would become of bullets and crashes.

  8. As a long-time car enthusiast I must say this is a really good introduction for the newcomers.

In the performance options post I must give some critique. I like it that you know your parts, but for game standards I believe the modifications should be a bit more generalized. I doubt the game is going to be as "realistic" as My Summer Car, in the dragging everything to the car sense. The more logical way to implement things such as piping, clutches, gearboxes, diffs, etc. would be to just mention them in a generalized upgrade description on the upgrade object ingame or tick box in a menu like in NFS2015 or Forza.

In the end of the day they just add a plus percentage to the overall performance of the vehicle.

    Second,

By today's standards I think you won't need more than 150-200 different vehicle bases if you're gonna go with different base options and plenty of body modifications. Most of those would be the different road cars and the rest different machinery(trucks, buses, planes, helicopters, yachts)

  9. I honestly hate coming onto the forum when there's a couple of great threads for everyone to share their ideas under, but the next day there's new threads about the same topic that has been discussed prior.

Could moderators please start pinning these so-called "Megathreads" so the forum would be more neat and organized? I know there's tons of new players registering even if just to ask one question, but I don't want to blame them for not using the search function and not lurking before posting.

I strongly suggest pinning these to the front page, so people would stop making new threads.

    Character creation hair and clothes

    Vehicle wishlist

    General misc ideas and suggestions

If you clicked on this thread, thank you.

  10. If it has 4 doors and looks like it belongs to a mob boss, chances are I'm craving for one

    1. Aston Martin Rapide (Digging the estate-sedan thing going on)

    2. Volvo 850 (I have one to my name, no license yet)

    3. Mercedes-Benz W221 (Had tons of fun with the Crash Time III representation of it)

    Greetings everyone! Everborn here.

I'm a psychology student (well, soon actually a psychologist, which means I'm adulting, so 'yay!' for that I guess..). I found out about Identity yesterday morning from a friend of mine, while discussing online social games, and let me just say - I was blown away by everything I've seen so far.

I'm a long time Sims player (16 years of playing) and lately I've found myself stuck not hating the game (because of its legacy) and not loving it either (because of its current state), and I always wanted something like Sims that I can play with other people. And voila!.. there comes Identity. :) I wonder, are there other former or current Sims players on here?

I pledged for beta access, and I'm looking forward to the further development of the game. I've been lurking for a bit on the forums here before actually joining. Haven't been a forums-person for a while now, so coming back to it feels strange (in a good way). Just want to say that the community on here seems very supportive and enjoyable, and since it's an online social game, that's probably one of the most important things.

Can't wait to play the game together, everyone! :)

    Welcome!

While I was in the military I thought about studying psychology as well, scared to actually take an entrence exam since I don't feel confident in conversations due to my experiences so far. I played Sims all the time as a child, really loved the character creation and haven't seen many games which had a great story and allowed me to create my own character. (Thank god to Saints Row and Fallout: New Vegas)

Luckly everyone here seems happy to contribute and have a chat

    See you in Identity!
