with the way development is going right now I wouldn't expect any other module to be released for another 4 years and the actual game probably wont be out for another 8-12 years

how does that make sense, the first year they were with like 3 devs, since then they have grown, within these (almost) 4 years they laid out most of the groundwork meaning everything from this point on will be faster, read up on how development works mate

It's a great feature in gta. It breaks immersion a little bit if people in game don't hear the same music as you do though. And identity is supposed to be all about immersion.

I kinda agree, however they could make it a different feature, where you can listen to your own music as if it were a music disk, some sort of mix tape.

I eventually find out many bots selling me stuff.

Bots wont be selling stuff in town square, everything in town square is free

Neither are there any jobs in ts either

    *) Where can I find a job?

*) How will the economy work?

*) Does the game contain any goals?

*) It's just all imagination or there will be a system which would assist us?

There are no jobs until the beta, neither will there be an economy system until the beta. you set your own goal in identity, in the end it is a roleplay game, you cant win.

there are always systems in place, in the end a roleplaying game without any sort of system whatsoever wont be very functional.

awesome!! just did my own search on Steam after using the provided link (not doubting you VirtalPenguin. Just wanted that search result rush). This is not a test! This is not a test! Now....how do we redeem from here? Or, as pledgers do we receive this automatically in our Library to install when available? Not sure where those earlier directions from Asylum are. Sorry.

this guide should help you get your steam key.

    3 hours ago, PrimusPalus said:

These have been on your account for a while now.

the keys itself havent been available for everyone until last Wednesday when the page went up, there were a lot of people who hadn't received their key yet because there were insufficient amount of keys. now however everyone should indeed have one or get one in the near future.

There is a date that Dev’s have gave to Steam.

guess I misunderstood steams information then. if you say that they have a date then I am not gonna try and argue any further.

    I apologize for the confusion

If you were trying to seem neutral in this discussion, you did not succeed. You are not only reinforcing what they've said, but you've also began to rationalize a possible delay. The word "assume" does not belong in a discussion.

In-case you are wandering why I say you were rationalizing a possible delay, it is due to the change in your wording after I pointed out your bias.

I wasn't trying to rationalize a possible delay, I was trying to point out to everyone that we will be waiting at least another 2 weeks once the steam page is out, I have seen a lot of people saying things like "it will be out november 15th if not they lied" and this is what I am trying to prevent, we all know that there are those who aren't informed on how steam operates and that is all I was trying to make clear.

in the end it was never my intention to rationalize a delay but it was my intention to prevent people from jumping to conclusions if its not out by the 15th, because this is impossible

  9. 46 minutes ago, Anonymous_Citizen said:

How about everyone sits tight until November 15th?

you guys don't learn do you, once the store page is up there is still a waiting period of two weeks, its the 4th now meaning the soonest we can see ts is the 18th...

The date the game is playable is not set by Steam, it's a date that the Dev's gave Steam. This date however from my understanding can not be changed once posted by Steam.

From what i read up on the release date wont be chosen yet until the store page is reviewed so as of now they dont have a date yet, even though i was wrong about steam i assume i am right about them not having a date yet.

  11. 3 hours ago, Chase said:

Rule of thumbs, expect to be in by November. Stop defending the deadline and stop trusting it. We know that TS will probably be out November, so go by that. The same people defending this development are the same people reinforcing unreliable information.

You guys are ALREADY getting this twisted. The closer we get to the date, the more open to interpretation the deadline gets. It's childish, just lower your standards.

I didnt defend any date whatsoever, i was making clear that we will be waiting at least two weeks once the storepage is out before ts gets released.

In the end this "unreliable" information is the only official information we have and therefor it is the only information you can base yourself on

They are in charge of the date. They submit to steam the page, page includes launch date, asylum chooses it. Once accepted they must adhere to it.

Launch date isnt included in the steam page yet... once the steam page can be released to the public they will edit it and add the date, this date is given to them by steam...

  13. 12 minutes ago, SausageBlaster said:

Will be released November 30th to play if all goes according to plan.

Source: news article says sometime in November. Asylum notorious for milking time so last day of November most realistic.

asylum isn't the one in control of the date on this one though so this is all just speculation

  14. 3 hours ago, Anonymous_Citizen said:

No, the Steam review takes, on average, two weeks. Then it should be available immediately to play, as it would be by default, available to those who redeemed their Steam keys.

once the storepage is up there is a two week waiting period before town square can be released, on average the review process takes less, those two weeks is the minimum amount of time that the coming soon page needs to be up before an application can be released. so even if the application is already verified we still need to wait until those two weeks have passed, with the store page we get a release date

  15. 8 hours ago, Pinkieseb said:

Okay so where is it? They are now 4 days behind deadline. Again.

how are they behind the deadline, they were going to submit the store page and build to steam, and they did. the game wasn't supposed to release before October neither was the store page...

There won't be any issues with releasing it in Europe though, will it? I was thinking about the GDPR, have you gotten that approved? Would certainly bad if we europeans had to wait an additional few weeks/months just to play.

before you submit a game you need to bring certain documents in order, I assume all of this is already done

I am guessing we have about 2 hours until this thread is locked or deleted like many of the other threads that are being created.

Just to state... I am asking a question, this is not me giving false information, I am querying something I don't understand.

From reading about the steam verification process, I am under the impression that a lot of it is to do with having the store page reviewed to ensure it represents the game it is 'selling' accurately, not use cinematic images etc.

We have been told that we will know a release date when the store page goes up...

But they have completed and submitted their page... so surely inside that page is the release date?

If so... they have already made up their mind about the release date.... so why not just tell us? Why make us all wait even longer for the steam verification process to happen? It's these little things that literally look like Asylum is just fucking with us?

the steam page can always be edited which is what they will do, they cant give a clear date yet because steam hasn't given this to them, once the steam page has been reviewed steam will review the build and give a date towards when the application will be ready to go. this is the date they will give to us on the steam page.

asylum hasn't made up their mind as the release date is out of their control, its in steams hands. I hope this answered your question

  18. 3 hours ago, Pinkieseb said:

Thats just no true though is it, it takes a MAX of 3 days for a steam review to go through, and a game like Identity should have already being reviewed.

store page reviews usually takes up to 3 days, application review however takes up longer. on top of that once the store page is released there needs to be a minimum waiting period of 2 weeks before ts can be released...

I name it as u did, because i tough u gonna understand it, but not... U meant they pass it to verification process right? So do it 3 days earlier so steam page is up in date they said will be? Because u have strange way of understanding what mean "published"

again they never said it would be up by then, publishing and releasing are two different words, when you publish something you make it ready for release. in other words you pass it on to steam to get it verified. that is what publishing is

So if they want to keep the word, if they want to do it, publish it 3 days before and all will be good? So stop spreading false information because none of this happen

lol what? u just said so yourself, whether they published it 3 days ago or they published it yesterday they still published it before the end of October, as I said they never mentioned anything about it appearing on the steam page by the end of October, all they said was publish.

Is possible that I can not see beta key because is not ready yet? I read this on the get beta key post

Please note that Town Square won't appear in your Steam Games Library until we finish making the final few adjustments required to release the Module. Once we complete the final task on our Task Tracker, we'll then be able to make the Module visible.

the keys are being handed out in waves so if you havent gotten your key yet you will get it when the next wave of keys is being handed out

    4 hours ago, Monsada said:

Im sorry but I dont understand how to get beta on steam.

I linked my steam account to Itentity.

I search in steam for identity game but found nothing, how can I get beta on steam?

once you link your steam account you should see a key appear there which you activate on steam, but as I said keys are handed out in waves so you will get ur key as soon as the next wave is handed out

Don't want to be a dick but how many times i have to repeat same thing MONTH ALREADY END, STEAM PAGE IS STILL NOT PUBLISHED, and u guys spreading false information like its already done... no, steam page is not there, nobody know when it will show up and how long since that they will finally release TS, u want to defend them, do it if u want, but stop spreading bullshit in every single post because same thing happen as with everyone deadline they gave, delay.

steam page has a verification process after it which takes up to 3 days... but they did publish it as it is already being reviewed
