  1. The town square module and the beta are two very different things. Think of the module as like an alpha. You won't be able to buy anything, seeing as it's just a social module and there isn't going to be any money. You cannot buy a house or apartment, but if your pledge includes an apartment then you'll be able to test out the housing customization features. I heard also, even if you don't have a pledge that includes an apartment, you'll still be able to test out the housing, but I'm not 100% sure on that. There won't be any cars, but cars will be part of the racing module. You'll also be able to customize your character in the town square module, so I imagine you'll be able to try out some different clothes, but I'm not positive on that last part. You can also paint and possibly get your work shown in the gallery!

You can check out the module's page  for some more details about the different features! Hope this helped! ^_^

  2. Hi and welcome to Identity! To answer some of your questions, yes you can go to a restaurant and eat there! You can also fish to your heart's content, and live completely off the grid if you choose to! Hope this helped :D

  3. I don't see why they wouldn't have multiple types of alcohol in the game, so I'm sure the different types you listed will be in the game. In response to the different types of drugs, I know they will have basic drugs like weed, meth, cocaine, etc... In my opinion, I don't think they will have those more specific drugs in the very beginning, but maybe as they continue to update the game they will add it! It would definitely be cool to cook with weed and things like that, but I'm not sure if you can put it in actual dishes. These are my opinions though, so I'm not 100% sure on this.

  4. I guess this is the year for real-life simulators lol, but It doesn't look nearly as detailed as Identity does. To me, it kind of reminds me of and looks like, a Sim City type of game. Regardless, I don't think there's anything to worry about. Identity, in my opinion, is a lot closer to getting people to actually play, whereas for this game, doesn't look very popular. I really don't think there's anything to worry about in regards to losing players! ^_^

  5. I'd only assume that you can rob convenient stores and things like that, however, I wasn't able to find any official information on that. You cannot rob police officers for their weapons, equipment, etc... Also, you can kidnap people, but I'm not sure if that includes police officers or not. I'm pretty sure you would be able to, seeing as that's a pretty plausible situation, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Hope this helped a bit! ^_^

If you're talking about the little button that says "claim pledge" in your shop account details, that is only if you bought a pledge from the Kickstarter. If you bought it from this website, then the pledges are already on your game account! Underneath the "claimable rewards" banner, it'll show you all of the rewards you'll be able to claim once the modules, beta, or full game is released! ^_^

  7. The devs have said that the new video is supposed to come out before the Town Square Module is released. Most people are estimating that the module is going to be released mid-end of April (Just their opinion, though, so nothing set in stone), so I would guess that the video will be released in the next 2-3 weeks! ^_^

  8. As far as opening up your own bar, I'm actually not 100% sure if you can or cannot. In this post, Paratus said you'll be able to create your own bar, but in other posts like this one, they've said that you're unable to.  I'm not sure which is true, and if creating and owning a bar is the same thing... I'm sort of leaning towards not being able to own one because a bunch of other people has said that you cannot and that the answer is probably somewhere on their twitter. :/

In all honesty, it was a direct reference to the criminal within Criminal Minds, hahaha.

I thought so, it's right from one of the coolest episodes! Well, remind me to never stumble upon your ranch in the forest! I don't wanna be pig food! :(

Indeed, my secondary character intends to function as a bandit that resides within the forest with a "cowboy-like" mentality. Imagine, chasing a vulnerable citizen on a horse with either a machete, shotgun, or revolver within an abandoned forest prior to roleplaying the idea that the carcass was fed to the pigs within the ranch.

Your character sounds a lot like one of the criminals from a Criminal Minds episode! Hopefully, you've seen that show before, if not, then just ignore this xD

  11. I agree! I definitely think there should be horses, it would totally cut down on gas costs, but as of right now they've said no to horses :c Maybe they'll be added in the future like in an expansion or update! Or maybe since they're in a partnership with spatialos, they'll be able to add more features into the game, including horses and horseback riding! I think it would definitely make traveling through the forests, mountains, off the grid, etc. a lot easier than having to maneuver a car on unpaved roads! Hopefully, they'll look into it :D

I heard something about the devs making the map bigger because of more players, but can't give a source. I think there are going to be traffic jams too, especially the highways to the cities. But if you really don't want to be in a traffic jam, you can always use the train!

Yah, I think with spatialos  they may make the map bigger, which would probably decrease the chances of high traffic. However, if you think about it, not everyone will be using cars, as you said there will be some people who take the train! Also, there could be people who walk/bike everywhere so that will definitely decrease traffic. I understand the concern, but if you take into account 3 major cities, and still an entire island, I don't think everyone will all be in the same place at the same time, so hopefully that'll help as far as traffic and lag goes! Maybe they'll have a carpool lane, and encourage users to drive together, who knows! xD

  13. If you mean "claim pledge" I'm pretty sure you only use that if you purchased a package through Kickstarter. Once you buy your package, you should be able to see what claimable rewards you'll get once the beta, and/or modules come out, depending on the package you get. If you click your username in the top right corner of the screen and then scroll below account details, you'll see all of the rewards that come with the Founder Pack! You can only claim your pledge once the actual game is released, though! Hope this cleared some things up ^_^

  14. I'm not 100% sure, but I think those numbers are updated manually, just like the progress bar on the Town Square Module. So if they get a big jump in pledges and new citizens, or after a significant amount of time, they'll update it. I think I read somewhere that this is the case, but I couldn't find the post where I saw this, so this may or may not be the reason why. Regardless, it's just cool to see numerically wise how many people are dedicated to this game and want to support it! :D

  15. There won't be actual cameras that you can use to film in the game! Filming would take up a lot of network on the servers, so they're not gonna implement that unless they figure out some way to fix that issue. Possibly as an alternative, you could go into journalism or maybe radio? I think those may be the closest thing to a camera operator ^_^
