the elevator bug only got in the game since the last update, and this bug has been fixed on their internal build. they are both focusing on progression and bug fixes

No, the Elevator Bug is not fixed, this is misinformation when it happens every time for the 20th time, it's not a fluke it is still a Bug, no matter when or what update it started from. I report it every time whether I log back in or not.  As I stated, I gave this module my time, things are still there and it's still too filled with Bugs and the lack of social aspect makes it not too welcoming of a game at this point. Maybe in a year or 2. Please don't say Bugs are fixed when it's clearly not.

  2. Just wanted to say, No the Elevator Bug is not fixed, must not be a Priority at this time, but I'll just wait about a year or so, and see if anything has changed. I have given this Module my time, I'll just wait for the next one, and if its better, I'll give it a little more time.

  3. I posted a review on Steam, highlighting almost the same thing you did. It was an early review, but I posted about the lack of Social aspect in a Social Module. One of the things that could make it better is to give people an incentive to be social after all this is a Roleplay game, There is so much you can do as far as roleplay to make in engaging to do just that. Here, come run with me around the block, or come see the weed I got in my apartment I can't do anything with. There is no incentive to be Social, I had a request to put a small bit of content in  Town square to make it more engaging, like  a drug deal where you get some kind of currency or  something to get things started with some roleplay, I know the gun thing is a big deal right now, but it's all teasers into it gets put in game, people will get bored and use the Bugs that are still plagued in town square as a reason to go elsewhere. There are so many people that have a bitter taste for this game as of now, the reviews are very bad and anyone who reads them will question the game, that is a fact. you read it every day, all day, and it's just common sense  to make things more engaging, they keep saying, the town square is a social module, that is all it is, but there is no reason to be social or have any kind of meaningful roleplay when there isn't incentive to do just that. The TV bugs are still there, the Art bug is still there, last time I logged the Elevator Bug, might have been fixed, will have to log in a few times to find out.

  4. I wanted to Amend this Post by saying, The Crashing in the Elevator is getting ridiculous, I see the search on the TV is fixed, well at least for now, so that is good, but I have crashed on the Elevator 12 times so far. I wish I had some kind of Tool to post a file of what is happening when the Crash happens but it seems to only be at the elevator.

  5. Just wanted to take some time and comment on my time in Identity today. This is the most I have on the game since the first module launched.  There are still problems, I will get to that, but I can see how the game is starting to shape up, and now it feels more engaging.

I wish the buy-sell to get money was already in place. I  think it would get more people involved with some kind of Roleplay. Since you can now grow Weed, It would be good if you could make some kind of currency off of it that would let people do some kind of R/P with making money and planning things.  Since the Cops aspect is not there yet, it would still give players a base to get into a meaningful Roleplay, I mean what were you going to Roleplay running around the block?  Just a thought, I feel would help some that are patiently waiting for farther releases.

The Bugs and Crashes. Ok, this is the Rant, the above were suggestions, but this is where I  call Game stopper.  Now that I have been in-game for the better part of the day, I couldn't help but notice, every other time I used the elevator the game crashed.  I reported 11 times in the crash reports. that was kind of sad since I had to run back to my Apartment to finish what I was doing since  I Spawned out in the street, Which brings to Question If you are already in your Apartment when you Exit or in my case Crash, why don't you spawn where you left off?  There were a few times I had to restart the game because I couldn't move, like by the fountain, I threw my coin, and was stuck, couldn't move, another time I was in my Apartment by the TV, and just got stuck, had to restart, things like this make for a bad Experience and should be Addressed, it doesn't matter if the team is working on other Modules, if the first one has these types of game Stoppers, what is the rest going to be like? I say this in what's going on in my mind and I am sure others also.

The Tv, Youtube, that is a nice touch, I found that to be cool working in my Apartment with Music playing, this was until the search stopped and I would have to put in a URL, this is a Game stopper, why break immersion?   I really liked the music I could search until it broke, So that should be Addressed.

All in all, the game is coming along, not well but coming Along. I do really think more Roleplay could be done if some kind of reward was there for doing the growing. Maybe get Currency to buy things, to get better Products, Better Growing equipment? Just something more to do, I know this is to show, how it's going to be done, and that's fine, but more could be added to get more out of it, is what I  am saying.

I hope this post is taken as Constructive criticism, in no way am I bashing, just calling out points.

Scrolling through the forums for more than five minutes guarantees you numerous posts about how, "Identity will never happen," or questions like "the Town Square module has taken too long, does that mean the other modules will too?"

Now I will admit these questions and concerns sometimes come with viable grounds yet a majority of them are wrongfully stated being only based off of personal opinion or rumors.  HOWEVER, many people tend to overthink the reasoning behind the potential delays and INSTANTLY jump to this being a hoax and a way to steal peoples money.

Now, I believe these developers are rightfully delaying the game and although it does bring up questions, it has good reasoning behind the delay.

Many of you are just consumers:  buy a game, play it, rate it, get bored of it and buy another, but there are also games out there that you tend to revert back to when nothing on the market is interesting and those are the games that when you picked them up and played them the first time, your expectations were not only met, but exceeded.

What does that have to do with anything, you might ask? Simple.  The developers know that in our largely online world, first impressions are key.  With all the, "first look,"  and the "Review" YouTube videos, they know that the first impression of their game is going to be a deciding factor on whether they get 1,000 dedicated players, or 100,000.  Many people largely rely upon the opinion of some YouTubers on whether or not they purchase games and these people would never even consider Identity if the YouTubers go on and on about the bugs and issues with the game if it were to be released too early, or even complain that the game itself wasn't even ready to be released and thus criticize the dev's as money craving individuals.

That being said, I believe the developers of this game are rightfully delaying the release so that our initial experience is positive, and memorable rather than getting into a game and ripping into countless hours of work because we can't even take the elevator to the correct room.

NOW ON THE CONTRARY to what I have said above, I do believe the developers owe us some sort of apology to giving us dates, and then pulling them right out of our grasp and letting us down.  I have followed this game for a while now, and made an account just over a year ago (I believe, maybe it is just under? but either way that's beside the point.) and the one thing the dev's have been consistent in is telling us a release date, and then extending said date.  That being said, I do believe they owe us at least something and should own up to their mistakes in planting high hopes only to remove them and tell us to wait longer.

In conclusion, however, I do believe they are doing good work and that this game is going to be one hell of a game given the people behind it, and the potential of exploring a, more or less, new idea for a game.  On paper, this game is no doubt going to be one of the best games upon full release, and the dev's I believe are doing their best to see to it and have a game that competes with even the top game developing companies.  So in the end, they are doing the best we can and as a community we should at least credit them that instead of bashing the work they wake up to do daily.  But going with that, they do owe us some sort of an apology or explanation that furthers what they've said instead of vague terms used to tell us the game is, "close."

Thanks for reading this, It only took me about ten minutes to type but it's what I more or less believe.  They're doing what they can with what they have, and being such a small team they're doing really well.

This wall of Text about first impressions?? I get in the game after years of waiting for just the first Module. I make my toon, talk to some people about nothing, go grab a paper on the bench read it, walk to the bar, nothing, walk around listening to people complain there is nothing.  That is all that was needed.

  7. Well, it is almost September and still, nothing, a few updated Screenshots of Furniture, The Dev gets on once every few weeks and spews how everything is business as usual in Identity land, BLA, BLA, BLA.

Look how long it's been since the first bait and switch of Launching time square.  I gave up on this game, the Minute I  found out the Launch date was false. Then the Tracker,  Somehow words on a screen about Gangs, turf, Cartels, is supposed to keep players from moving on, if there is no Action, people won't fall for this Pipedream to much longer.   I know everyone has Family life, I know the Devs are Human but don't just put words out there that are meanless, get to Action, so it's more than text on a screen.   Before, anyone states, "you're still here", Yeah I am, I refunded, lost cause, I just find amusement in reading these Threads of a Game that will not have a following once after the many years it takes to become a reality if it ever does.

Dead in the water before it ever began. 0 HOPE

  8. I did question family building, Are there going to be KIds in the game? Babies? If so, How do they come about? I might have missed any explanation on if couples will be able to start families, Life simulator doesn't seem Life like without a certain amount of Family Growth. Just wondering.

Let's not forget about GTA V either. With it's Strip Club, sex with prostitutes, and even fully nude colonists (Both male and female).
    Which also exists on consoles.

In other terms... Where there is a will, there is a way.
I highly doubt there's going to be any "sex" mechanics in the game. But really, you don't need that.
You can always just roleplay it. I bet there's gonna be private servers just for that stuff.

I was thinking along the same lines. People who want to have some kind of sexual experience in the game, will just R/P it. Just like in WOW, there is no sex, but people who want to r/p sex go to Goldshire dubbed (Porn Shire), just for that purpose. It doesn't have to be a mechanic for people to do it.

And yet here you still are. So many times I've seen people complain and be adamant the game is never coming out yet you're still here. If you don't believe in any way the game will succeed then go and get your refund.

Me still being here in a public Forum Voicing how correct, I feel someone else's voice might be is what this was about.  It could be to Mock people like you, who try to down that right.  Thank you for your criticism, but it was not needed.

In my opinion this game unfortunately will not run its course...

They will probably release TS around late august to early september, by then everyone will be even more pissed than they are now and what will happen when they login to TS? Be able to walk around, play chess and sing some karaoke? Everyone is begging for TS to be released, not really realising that it is literally just the engine? Oh wait... i think you can pick up a paper too...

So following this release, people will get their refunds because there is nothing to actually do in the game and the time frame between modules will clearly be a very long process with minimal communication from devs to investors. This will equal a pissed off player base who as I just said, will either get a refund, or just simply stop playing the game.

By the time the full game comes out (if it ever actually does) it will have lost its player base, community and will not get off the ground properly. The more likely outcome is it getting almost to module 2 and the whole thing just crashing down due to lack of funding.

This is 100% exactly how I feel, I have thought long and hard about the same thing happening. This is the best description of what could and most likely will happen. There will be so many other Great games out by the time this rolls around, no one will care at all. I don't feel your post negative at all, it's real.  The way I look at it, ok, we paid the 30, ?? amount of money to get this off the ground  people are going to hang around in the TS module for a little while, get bored, move on to other things, and then the Devs after yet another year, will drop the 2nd or maybe 3rd Module and the base will be playing great games, no one will ever even remember, Identity. I have seen it happen, too many times.

  12. This is supposed to be a beta, Just like any other Beta, the Devs should make it stable, and get the Graphics and UI right, and put the game out. It's the people testing it. Whatever Bugs come, the players can report them for change. It's like that in every game I have messed with. I to Pledged, I did it because this is our Game, it's our world to explore, Our world to make the way we see fit. We support it, it's Ours. So get off the Delaying, get the damn game right, and let us tell you what is right or wrong. I am sure the play base is capable of letting the Devs know, what needs to be done. I am having a hard time trusting any of this. Glad I didn't shell out a good bit of money, and No I won't feel bad at all when it never happens.
