They said on Discord/Twitter & Facebook last night that it won't be at midnight, it will be within office hours, that's 9-5 EST (2-10PM GMT) It's only just gone 9 for them, so could be a few hours yet

You can bet that if it does actually launch today, it will be at 4:59pm

I would assume quicker than that.

Don't place your bets on it, just look at how long this last task is taking. I wouldn't be surprised if the tracker finally gets completed then a part 2 comes.

Seems about average with today's games.

11gb is definitely not the standard for a tiny town square with barely anything to do inside, even nowadays.

It's not pointless, you can only speak for yourself. To presume to speak for everyone is just arrogant. Since you asked, however, here's my take. I bought the biker package. I bought full well knowing I may never see this game come into fruition.I take it as a write off.Simple as that.

Notice how I said 'I think I speak for everyone' rather than 'I speak for everyone'. But fair enough, thanks for giving your comment.

I have followed this project since it was on Kickstarter and I only purchased a few months ago. Yes, it is taking a while, but it's all going to be worth it in the end. This game will be EPIC! Good job devs. I have no hate to you, not like SOME people.

Can you quote where I was hating on anyone?

It is 1 task, which they are trying to finish and have working correctly. They can't exactly show progress on this one task. Also there has been 2 streams of Town Square already, if you get more, then whats there to look forward to?

Forget spoilers - I think most people just want to get their hands on the game or see what the game has to offer. We're (I think I speak for all) just looking forward to playing a part what we've waited so long for, not exploring what content hasn't been shown in streams because lets be honest, there's not going to be much more to TS that hasn't already been shown.

Also it may sit idle visually but they are making progress as little as it may be and how long it is taking.

It's all well and good saying this but there's absolutely 0 to show for this. Give us more gameplay or something, anything that shows that progress is being made.

The tracker is broken right now as most other parts of the site is buggy still but is being fixed.

Give me a break, even if the tracker was working there would be no difference because there's nothing to update!

Why is everyone still pent up on this tracker? It is not a real thing... the tasks don't relate to anything. My favourite part is that the bugs section of the tracker is complete!!

This should be the last one to be completed. Having worked in bug tracking for a long time, the bugs are never complete as that list is added to on a daily basis...

The tracker is full on horse shite - it's a method used to give the devs a change to not provide a release date - that's it...

At this point I can't help but agree. At first I thought it was legit - I saw 5 tasks left and I was excited, expecting TS to be out within a month or so. But it's been give or take 3 months now (I think?), and it's taking the piss now.

@Masa They have more than just 3 programmers now which I am not including the CEO.

EDIT: I am asking Beach ball to confirm the number!

    Beach said;

    Programmers: 5

Asylum members: mid - low 20's

Talk about a lack of clarity.... how did it go from 3 to 5? Why is everyone saying different things?

Well, they have already received 1,288,474 USD. That is a lot.

That's nothing in the world of game development for the calibre of the game they are promising.

I have been backing town square longer than most people. I thought I was late but no. I have basically been through every single delay they had.

I can imagine quite a few people have, whats the point of this post?

So when the game comes out there obviously will be Movie making

Do you have a source for this? I've not heard anything about it, but that would be pretty epic if it was a feature.

And that is the exact reason they will not rush out any unplayable broken alpha module. They have to nail it first time, even if they lose a few impatients backers along the way.

Few? They are losing tonnes of people and also losing a lot of people's interest at this point. People are absolutely sick of waiting. Whether it's good or it's bad, just give us something to play with! At least then we can see for ourselves whether it is worth our time or not.

but up until now the only thing that was available was a concept... once an actual product is available, people will get lured in

Or, the total opposite. People won't like what they see and they will refund, and potential backers will back out and look for other games.

You do know a little thing called sales exist? SO FAR they have made 1.2 million, that is going to town square, where else would it be going?

They will obviously make more money when TS comes out...

Ha, don't place your bets on it. The game has been on Kickstarter give or take 3 years iirc, and it's only raised 1.2m.

But GTA V is a triple A game, with crazy levels of detail.

This is a town square with very limited features and things to do.

$1.2m isn't funding just for TS, it's the funding for the entire game. Wake up, obviously GTA V is a triple A so therefore would have more funding but 200x more? This game is a lost cause, drastic lack of funding.
