  1. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the players being the most active... that's what makes Altis Life that much better than GTA.

That said, an empty server can be something that plagues the game. It may be better if the player slots were first roaming NPCs, that allowed minimal interaction (or scripted conversation)... when a player joins, the NPC occupying that slot gets "deleted", potentially not instantly, maybe they'd wander off to a remote location and then get deleted.

  2. Are there going to be any NPCs in this that can be interacted with on certain levels?

I'm not expecting hordes of NPCs running about, filling up the island, but in order to sustain a server, the server will need a high player count. Would it be possible to have around 50 NPCs on the island (mostly in the built up areas) just walking around, or doing similar things players would be doing to help build the immersion?

The immersion would be totally lost if you join a server and find you're the only person on the island, despite it being built up to hold 300 players.

  3. I haven't seen this referenced if it's already included, but due to the vast amount of electronic hardware available (or will be available) in the game, I had a system on my Altis Life server that created a career path for "Computer Hackers".

These players could be paid sums of money to trace player locations, erase evidence from police systems, attain bank account information from bank systems, and basically interact with many themed electronic devices on my server.

This greatly changed the dynamic in how players had to play, either for better or worse.

For example, players that wanted to play by the law often got annoyed that they'd have to pay insurance premiums to protect their bank accounts from theft, due to hackers. The hackers on the other hand would have access to a single-use access of another player's bank account, so they could withdraw any amount of their money (or deposit money if they wanted to be charitable).

A career profession in this game as a Hacker could open up more possibilities (I've seen that people are complaining that too many players would just become an assassin) and it offers alternatives. A Hacker might not necessarily be a bad player, they may be called upon by Law Enforcement to try spy on criminals for them, or obtain their whereabouts, or be used to obtain more evidence for a conviction.

EDIT: searched the wrong thing... found it's already been suggested and isn't in the plans :(

    This can be closed.

  4. Hi, my names Steve.

I found this game a while back, and thought it looked amazing in the introduction video. The sheer "endless" possibilities makes for such great potential that could change how role-play games are produced. I play a lot of "Altis Life" from Arma 3, which I'm sure a lot of other people here have also played. I spent around two years coding my own server for that, and can't wait to host my own server for this game...

When is the game expected to be released?
I'm very much looking forward to getting into this game.

    :)
