  1. Since most all of the UI in the game is build into the world (such as ATM screens and gas pump screens) I thought it'd be awesome to feature a 'show screen' emote similar to the many that are already planned in the game. An action where your character would hold out their phone, screen facing away from them, to show others what they just saw. Perhaps you just received a large paycheck or saw something funny on social media which is already going to be in the game, it'd be a neat feature to have.

Similar to this, and your player's arm would follow the direction that you move the camera.

If you go to the "Housing customisation" video you can see the first person mode and a glimpse of third person!

While you can get a glimpse of it, I was more asking in the sense of 'will first person be tradition first person or just an alternate camera angle.' If you look at games like Fallout or Grand Theft Auto 5 they have unique animations for everything when using items like guns in first person. Sprinting feels fluid and smooth and appealing. However, games like ARMA 3 just adjust the camera angle for 'first person mode.' Sprinting with a gun thus looks really wobbly and shaky.

Example of 'Traditional FPS' which is entirely separate from Third Person Perspective:

  3. When backing so much money you can earn yourself one of a few different starting apartment homes. I wonder though, will it be totally free forever or am I essentially living there for X amount of 'months' freely before I start having to pay bills.

  4. With Town Square's release date close to being announced I really want to know, throughout updates and so on, if progression will ever be wiped during the early access or even full release time of the game.

I do know there will be a casino where we can bet. Has been confirmed.
Lottery I am not too sure about. It could have a huge impact on the economy in game.

I hope someone could give us more insight on this matter!

Both gambling halls and lottery are indeed large in terms of impact. I know that if functional casinos are in game then things like money-shortcuts through microtransactions are a big 'nono' if I remember correctly. Personally, I want to see both of these gambling options in game. But what I really don't want to see is the game getting large controversy over cash microtransactions if they add those. They confirmed some houses and vehicles to be microtransactions but I don't think they said anything about cash

  6. Will vehicles such as cars be able to deteriorate overtime from lack of care/maintenance to eventually the point where you have a junker in your hands and pretty much have to find a new replacement car? While I believe, if its a feature, it should be a very slow process; it really would be neat to see appear in the game. Economy is suppose to be as accurate as it can be and I can see this greatly effecting the wealth of some players. Another question I wanted to ask is if vehicle repairs will be cheap and easy or more demanding. Say you got into a collision with a street pole and now you have a nasty dent in your vehicle. Will the damage be persistent forever until repaired for a costly amount (especially without insurance) or will it be something cheap like a $100 quick fix. I'm hoping for the more realistic path of the two.

Now that I think of it though, could city destruction fines be issued to players for collisions with items like lamp posts or signs?

"We'll try to make it as close to Payday as we possible can, MMO wise."

This was said on this evening's stream regarding bank robberies. There was a mutual agreement on the stream that Payday is a fun game. And I have to agree. Both of the games. Even though they are money hungry with their DLC. :P

Hey where can I find these streams?

I like what you said about the "Maybe allow the hostage to bump around". They could take some damage when you do it though. Very minor damage, nothing that bad but noticeable. Nothing lethal though. But it'd be good if you wanted to scare them or make them think wisely about trying to escape or annoy you.

And as for "release hatch", are you talking about the button that a lot of newer model cars have that unlocks and pops the trunk open a bit? If so, then yeah, that would be excellent and like you said: you'd have to be smart with which car you choose. For example, with the "Cabbie" citizenship purchase, it mentions an old, rusty sort of car so that might not work as well as another type of vehicle like maybe a minivan or one of the sports vehicles?

Not so much of the button, vans primarially have that. But many older and newer cars with an actual trunk have a type of 'rip cord' which you can pull to open the trunk assuming someone ever got locked in. It hangs from the roof of the door. If your hands were tied from the front it's be easy to grab. If you were restrained from behind however it's a bit more difficult

  9. Will vehicle space (trunk space) be a very important asset to the game? I really want to know because I backed enough money for the used motorcycle but am afraid I am only punishing myself for paying that extra amount of money. I back this game up 100% but I almost feel like the motorcycle or even the dirt bike is a downgrade due to the lack of a storage space. With the bike you can't really conceal large illegal guns, carry any piece of furniture, can hardly carry food/drink, and it takes up the only space I have in my garage.

My concern for this comes from my previously posted thread in the suggestions forums here:

Since kidnapping is already in the game, I imagine that when you go to kidnap someone, it will "bind their hands" or something automatically or restrict their ability to use certain actions. It would completely ruin the immersion if it simply said "You are kidnapped" even though you could still sprint, use every action, pull out weapons or whatever, so I think they'll have that part already considered.

Although, a blindfold/bag would be a good idea and would definitely add to the roleplay, making it harder for them to make their way home if they try to escape so good idea there! :D

"Trunking" them would also be a super cool idea, although, I feel like the driving into the ocean thing could be so easily abused and a lot of people would just be kidnapping each other and drowning them haha. But I do like the idea of being able to put them in the trunk. Maybe a way to choose which seat (or the trunk) that you want to place them in, like a little popup hud when they are standing next to the car.

Also, I'm so sorry but I just have to correct you:  Serial Killer not Cereal haha.

Phone auto correct sucks... also, I think trunking could work in a few ways. Maybe allow the hostage to bump around a bit, make some noise. Also, some cars often have a release hatch, so you'd have to be smart with the vehicle choice.

The way it works, is that cops will respond straight away as they are players and so they won't give any chance for the criminals to get away. Also yes, it is a High risk = High reward system. If you get out of the bank after cops responding then you will get a chance for the police chase but, the cops won't give you the chance if they can avoid it. That is not how it happens in real life and the same in this game.

I understand what you mean there, LuckyDuck. But isn't it the cameras inside of the bank which mark the armed robbers and thus notify police? Couldn't the criminal gang devise a plan which would delay police notification in some way such as looping camera feed from a tipped off insider or something? That aswell as holding hostages to prevent calls to emergency services (assuming players physically hold their phones in game at use). I know this is just a suggestions thread but I think there should be someway to atleast temporarily keep word of the robbery from getting out there immediately to the law enforcements.

I'm thinking the more cops are on the more money is in the vault. I'd like to plan out my heists too. PM me if you're looking for a crew.

That part has been confirmed already, but I'm suggesting a possible sneaky route which will take skill for sure. A well rewarding way to handle things

  13. Bank robberies are one of many illegal activities that criminals may participate in. The take all depends on the amount of cops present at the scene. Basically: Higher Difficulty=Bigger Payout. However, I think it would be cool if you could put some more creativity in the planning and perhaps even complete a majority of the heist in a cop-free phase. Police chasing the crew after the scene is inevitable, but atleast there wouldn't be cops swarming when you crack the vault (with a lot of added effort of course to pull off). Perhaps even being able to tip off inside workers to arrange something that'll help the crew such as disarming the radio transceivers that detonate she packs in cash or looping camera feed.

No, you can own more than one car but I am saying the pledge vehicle is permanent to your account. You can buy a garage in-game to store more vehicles; However I need to double check for me to be sure as I cannot confirm how it is as of yet.

Well the pledge gives a one-vehicle garage space for one vehicle. But if there is a way we can somehow put away the bike, housing it possible elsewhere in the game (likely a space outside of the apartment garage) then I think I'd be mostly happy with that. I appreciate the responses and hope I can hear back from you about selling the vehicle or whatever. Feeling a bit relieved already.

  15. 5 minutes ago, LuckyDuck said:

I am sure they are permanent and could possibly be locked to the account but I will need to check as I am not sure.

So what you're saying is: unless you downgrade your pledge for a car, you'd need to, instead, upgrade to a 2 car garage space if you ever wanted to own another vehicle, such as a car. If that's the case then that's a bit disappointing... I hope they consider changing this.

  16. 1 hour ago, LuckyDuck said:

Yeah there is not a way to trade the pledge vehicle in for something different unfortunately and so you can either down grade or keep the one you have.

Would we atleast be able to sell it for a price relatively close to the cost of a car in-game though?

  17. I think it would be a neat idea to use holding spaces like Storage Units to house goods you simply do not want to see anymore. Perhaps some old clothes you wish to no longer have to rummage through in your closet, or some large pieces of furniture you no longer wish to see in your building interface, or maybe even a small vehicle if you feel like you just can't give it up (and have the storage space). With that there would be added fees of course for owning these units. You must pay the bills or suffer the loss if you don't. This could open up the possibility for actually selling units of goods if the owner can't keep up with the bills. A cubical of goods and junk for someone else to own and possibly put to use.

  18. Back when I was looking through the backer rewards I noticed something I am now a bit skeptical about after pledging $100 to get the used motorcycle as my vehicle. The problem is... its not a car! It doesn't have storage space or anything which would be important in game. Which is why I suggest possibly being allowed to sell or trade in the motorcycle for a car of equal value ranking higher than the Rusted Car since we backed more money for the vehicle. Could a dev or moderator please clear this up as I feel it is quite an important thing to be considering.
