I keep forgetting this game exists... I was excited for the launch.. played around for a few days goofing around with people... then everyone wised up and realized how boring the chat sim was. Maybe just maybe this game will survive... but I doubt many people will be left by the time swat is out.

A- it doesn't exist & B - it has not launched. We have a module....not a 'game',why is this simple fact so hard for so many of you to grasp?

john what are your plans for now about fixing this game their is so many glitches its unreal the game is unplayable ive just entered the game not so long ago and noticed new glitches and bugs ive never seen before its like no matter what you patch and fix you just create 10 more glitches for every few you do. there is no way this game will be played by people in the months to come if it does not get fixed pronto maybe hire some experts on this game building programme who know what they are doing. this is falling apart and soon the people who have backed you and the game for years and still are will eventually say to themselves you know what its failed goodbye. so like I said whats the next step whats happening are you guys making progress to have this game fixed or is it to the point where everyone is so stressed and giving up but not saying anything to the public or what. we deserve to know whats going on there has been no up date today or yester day.

This ^^^ is why the Town Square was a potentially fatal mistake. This user talks about all of this like it's a full game, and the Town Square was never ever touted as 'a game'. You release a pre-alpha build to the public and you are just asking for trouble, reading these forums is absolute proof of that. NOTHING positive will come from the way this game is being built, and the idea for these 'modules' needs to be scrapped right now & go back to a traditional closed alpha where you could at least get feedback from people who fully realise & understand what it is they're doing.

  3. Funny lol. One thing you, and in fact most of the people here, utterly fail to either understand or admit is that the 'game' is not coming out. What's being released as the Town Square is not even a beta, it's just a sample of what they hope will be a part of Identity. Once this is out, and reality kicks in, a lot of people around here are going to get awful bored really quickly because their imagination has turned this release into something far far bigger than it's actually going to be.

  4. Basic mistakes have, and are, being made by Asylum simply because they have never done this before. Announcing deadlines is,was, and always will be a huge mistake. Giving out steam keys for a product that is not even available for download is another. It's clear to see they are under a huge amount of pressure from people on a forum who CLEARLY have no interest in seeing a viable product come from all of this, they just want something now!.....me me me me me. FINISH it to YOUR standards, STOP giving out deadlines and the best of luck in your endeavours.

  5. Time will tell. Certainly Identity has the potential to be something groundbreaking, the question is, will it? For all the Devs good intentions there is a VERY good chance players will ignore the 'cool' stuff, or the novelty will wear off fast, and they'll reach for their guns. While it has the potential to break new ground, it also has the potential to be GTA with frills on.

Being a Cop, strictly speaking, should mean serving the community, if you're dealing with a bank job every five minutes then it's just pointless playing, I can shoot guns in games a million times better for PvP than this one will EVER be. Same with being a criminal, surely the main objective of crime is to get away with it? Potential boils down to sensible game play.

@Gometzler are you ok there mate? Be happy if they even give me something? Entitled to received what i pledged for? Are you out for your mind?  If I pledged for a game WHICH I was promised to play on LATE 2017, and now its LATE 2018, i have to feel grateful? Wake up dude, u are too new at this industry of alpha games

You've been here since the 28th of Feb, every post you've done has either been asking for a refund, calling Asylum scammers, or agitating. Tell me why you deserve anything, because from what I've seen, you've been anything BUT helpful.

  7. Was it bad news? well of course it was, but reading these forums you'd think the world had ended, relax, it hasn't. As I've said before, they have made a lot of mistakes thus far, and guess what, it's very likely they'll make some more. The transition from mod makers to pro's has been a rocky one for sure.

Lets just be honest for a moment though. Isn't this hysteria all a bit too much? To be fair, Asylum have created quite a lot of it themselves, but even so, these forums read like the domain of a bunch of spoiled five year old kids. 'Wahhhhhhh I want my game'.....seriously? The only real danger here is faced by Asylum themselves, if they fail then they'll have to pay back every penny, not to mention the fact that their reputations will be ruined. All we have to do is be patient, there are much bigger projects, from far bigger developers, that have had a much rougher time than this......it could be worse, we could have invested in Star Citizen lol

For now, lets all try to calm down and have a little bit of faith. what was once a very constructive community has turned into something silly, and people who have not invested in Identity come here and read all this....we're not helping, we're just making it worse.

That's just one story out of a fine selection. Satisfied now?

Not in the slightest no. You modded a user interface lol, that's not game development now is it. You're not speculating, not in the slightest, this is the internet in case you didn't notice. People will read the rubbish you write and accept it as gospel, truth is that people like you do more damage to fledgling projects than any amount of alpha video's could ever do. Yes there have been a number of scams involving crowd funded projects, but the powers that be are starting to prosecute these people. Yes there have been quite a lot projects that have failed to make it out of the alpha stage, but that's the chance you take when you back them. But here's the REAL crux of this situation: you could easily have asked for a refund and gone on your way and nobody would have been any the wiser.......but you didn't did you, you had to kick up a fuss, and a fuss that included no evidence of anything other than your obvious total lack of understanding of what making a triple A title involves.

Most of us here KNOW we took a chance on this product, most of us KNOW that Asylum have got a lot to learn, most of us KNEW they were a team of modders. I myself have not been shy of being critical in the way that they have handled the public before now, personally I think they made a mistake in bowing to pressure and putting that video out. So do most of us a big favour, get your refund and go blow up someone else's pipe.

Well yeah, but no refund has been issued yet. Still waiting for that

For someone who was 'out of here' you sure do hang around a lot. I'm still waiting for you to say something relevant about game development, anything, just say one tiny thing to make me believe you actually know what you're talking about. I'm with a modding team, we make a mod for Arma 3, just to get an update out for that mod, with a BIGGER team than they have here, took us the best part of twelve months. I was also among the first forty people in the world to see Lord of the Rings Online, when we were first invited into that game it was still in Alpha....most thing's didn't even have textures and there were placeholders everywhere, nobody on the planet would have bought into it if they'd seen it in that state..........there's a good reason game Devs rarely show Alpha footage, and that reason is people just like YOU. All you've written here is guesses, rumors and innuendo, NOTHING founded in actual fact.

If, as you profess, Asylum are actually scam artists, then you'd also know, from just a few seconds research, that they would have to pay back every cent and more. If I were them, I'd give you a refund just to stop you bleating.

The gameplay video is what kept me around, but after seeing this....thing....that they call gameplay, I am out.

I honestly cannot believe people are defending this. Yes, game development is hard, but we've seen a few square metres of an area now that was already made a long time ago. Same goes for the few props that were in this environment. Now there can be lots of reasons for this, but just think:

months and months and MONTHS ago, they told us they'd do a video soon(tm) showcasing some gameplay. In those MONTHS, they used stuff that was definitely already there when I pledged to mock up a video of UNDER TWO MINUTES. Say what you want, but that is sheer incompetence, whether you like it or not.

I had high hopes and honestly want this to succeed, but I cannot support development of a game that could STILL be fake at this point. I STILL have not seen anything substantial that proves to me we are not just seeing some random concepts but an actual game.

Requested a refund. Hope I'll get my money back soon, because I don't support this anymore.

So...you supported this for four months, or should it be MONTHS lol. In all honesty I could take the time to point out the gaping holes in all your statements but I think it's obvious that you don't actually have the first clue about game development.

In this last year they have only shown images that you can do in a few minutes in the unreal engine 4, shortly a year will be completed since they released a video of something "functional" that by the way, is done in less than 1 week. I just want to believe like you, but I need something tangible, as for example in The Sims always take a demo so that one can see the costumes and create their characters, since IDENTITY is almost ready only 3 months of its official release could do something So for those who have the founder package with access to the beta, it would be incredible.
This methodology would also serve to call more people to the community and join the developers.
And if the idea of the demo of designing the characters is very cliche they could let the beta accesses try offline the apartment they designed for the video a year ago, since that point is supposed to be ready. That would make me a believer.

Okay so, here's the thing. You do not have the first clue about anything that is or isn't happening behind the scenes at Asylum beyond what you have been told by the developers themselves. So, at best, you are making a very uneducated guess and, at worst, you are just making it up. I'd point out the inaccurate parts of your posts, but since you've ignored several people who have already do exactly that, I'll not bother.

Like almost everyone who makes posts just like this one you seem to know little or nothing about game development & even less about Asylum. Of course everyone is entitled to an opinion, but SURELY you should at least get your facts right first.

The taxation system provides The People's Revolutionary Party with the ability to fund Universal food, clothing, shelter, energy, healthcare, education, and transportation.

What causes one to produce such a question if one had truthfully analyzed the economic cycles of the party?

Indeed, The People's Revolutionary Party opposes Fascism. Thus, the political party is an Anti-Fascist organization. However, the correct term would be "Communist".

What appears to be misunderstood or insensible about the party?

It's really very simple, as I'm sure you are well aware from the posts in this thread and all around these forums. Fascist and Communist, the differences are minute to say the least, no matter what you claim. To be honest, parts of your manifesto are just plain silly.....such as 'The Right to Revolt'....seriously? and revolt using 'reasonable force'?....that's GOT to be tongue in cheek.

    revolution
    rɛvəˈluːʃ(ə)n/
    noun
    noun: revolution; plural noun: revolutions
    1. 1.
a forcible overthrow of a government or social order, in favour of a new system.
"the country has had a socialist revolution"

I applaud your dedication I really do, but I think you may well be in over your head.

The housing video was a year ago.
Would love to see an update video at least.
We have been patient enough, not to sound demanding but Jesus Christ

I work on an ARMA 3 combat mod, the latest update has taken over a year, and that's just a MOD. Topics like this are counter productive, everyone here is well aware that Asylum have made many PR mistakes, but seriously, it's time to move on already.

It's why I've stopped voicing an opinion on anything at all. If anything killed my hype, it's not the devs, its the self-proclaimed vanguards of their development process that aggressively respond to any criticism of their lack of meaningful updates with posts like 'Stop criticizing the devs' 'try making the game yourself' 'why don't you get a refund and leave' 'Do you know how long it takes to make a game like this' 'I'm sick of posts asking about x and y'@Rinyuaru-Kun

Hmhmmm shame, so many of them wanna be mods, and so few of them show any inclination to actually help.

Will you ever release the game? Or is it just a fake Website to make money???

I know it's a lot of work to do this game, but you said it will release in early 2017. But now it's late 2017 without any Progress in town square...

Will you ever tire of making new accounts just to talk shit? *rolls eyes*

  16. Most of us have, at some point, been bitten by this bug, however, don't despair because there IS a cure and it's a simple one. Resign yourself to it being at least another two years before Identity see's the light of day as a full game, and go find something else to do :)

See? and you never felt a thing :P
