I must say, groundwork is done rather well. This post attracts citizens well.

But i must ask. Would be there option to buy "home security" service? i would feel safe when i could see ASC patrol car driving to front of my house, stops, checks surroundings for any possible threat.

Yes, this will definitley be a service we would offer, with varying levels of protection. We will release more information on different security packages/options closer to game release.

[Profanity Expunged], WE MADE ATLAS AGES AGO. WE WERE GOING TO ANNOUNCE IT ON THE DAY OF RELEASE!!!!!!

    kind regards 8ob

Buddy, calm down, open your eyes and come join us in the real world, you snooze, you lose. Also note, as Atlas and Aegis are allied, Aegis Security Consulting will view any threats against Atlas as threats to Aegis. Consider this a warning.

Ugh mods can still see hidden post so the evidence is still there it will just make the forums look a bit more tidy without the mods having to do extra work

Yeah, but it would still result in you being punished. Try PMing them, or if thats still seen by mods, and you're THAT desperate to use profanity or other abusive language, try contacting them somewhere else, IF you can get any other social media accounts for them.

    It sure does.
I'm gonna guess that you're a PMC guy yourself?

I'm with Aegis, but I've been in a couple before in other games, and it gets quite annoying when people just see us as a bunch of MerryWeather-esque people who just go around blowing up everything.

Which I might add, depending on the game, it might be. *cough* GTA V *cough*

Well as long as they don't just suck up all the average joes then I don't have a problem with them. If they get unrealistically big then that may pose a problem. Either way it's really down to whether or not the devs allow PMCs at all.

Yeah, although I don't see why not. But if they don't, it means more business for you.

They aren't nearly as similar as you make them out to be, but fair point either way. My concern is that so many people will be drawn to PMCs that there will be very few normal citizens about. The reason why this wouldn't be a concern with the mafia is that PMCs are (mostly) legal, meaning people who don't want to find themselves involved in crime won't have any reason not to participate.

Yeah, I understand that, but most of the PMCs so far are very professional and aren't accepting just anybody, and they appear to have rigorous training/codes of conduct and such. So in the end, I don't think you'll have to worry aout them too too much. I do completely agree on militias though, we don't want another Oregon Militia Standoff occuring. That is where PMCs come in very useful, as they wouldn't need to mess around with all of the governmental approval, they just need a paycheck.

    1. Think so.

    2. Don't know. But I think so.

    3. If I'm not wrong you will not be able to own the skyscrapers.

    4. Don't know if we have any information about this yet.

    5. Probably. I don't see why not.

Thanks for the quick response, that sucks about the skyscrapers, it would be a really cool feature, albeit expenxsive, for large corporations.

Not that similar. PMCs are basically armies, and armies have been left out of the game for a reason.

Yet if you look at the structure and organization of both, as well as the methods, training, and weapons used by each, they are in fact similar. I understand about how some PMCs are basically armies, but most are not involved in any active combat situations. The ones that are in active combat situations are almost always under contract to a government(s). The majority of PMCs/Security Consultanting Firms actually only provide security/protection for high profile persons, people who live in less suitable areas, and site/assset protection for companies and private individuals. Also, most PMCs are not legally allowed heavy weaponry without strong governmental oversight, as according to The International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR)

I'm probably biased, but I don't like this idea. I feel like every normal citizen is going to want to be part of this, so there will be no average joes around. Besides, I don't think the devs will allow for things like PMCs or militias like this.

Just to point out, you are the Don of the Mariano crime family. Saying that PMCs and Militias should not be allowed is the same as saying that gangs/organized crime should also not be allowed. When you think about it, they are quite similar, just different activities, and one is more legal than the other.

  10. I have a few questions, I've been through all of ideas and suggestions and haven't found an answer, so here they are;

    1. Will Corporations/Businesses Be able to own warehouses/lots where they can keep vehicles/equipment?

    2. Will we be able to have multiple locations for a company, like branch offices and an HQ?

    3. Will we be able to have an HQ in a large building, a.k.a. a skyscraper/tall building.

    4. And say my company involves weapons/lots of combat, and/or shooting, will we be able to purchase a shooting range/proving ground?

    5. And finally, will we be able to rent places. For example if I wanted to test some new high performance cars for my company, could I rent a runway/racetrack for a day or two to do the testing?

Sorry for the long post, and thanks for taking the time to read/reply to the post.
