Motown would be up for it xD

Cannibalism won't be in game though.

I know :c its really unfortunate but I guess somethings are better left on the drawing board. Besides that might complicate things later when trying to get the game released.

Ok awesome, thanks .. Do you think that the game will rely on good ping ? Because I play in the Asylum American servers and get like 250-300 ping and I play fine.

P.S: I live in South Africa

I imagine it affects your experience to some extent, perhaps while driving, hunting, and engaging in PvP. But to say that you play fine with 250-300 ping slightly changes things xD I will want to say yes, but honestly I think its safe to say that you will have acess to servers with lower ping than 200.

Vix totally just made me think about Canabalism in game .-. that would be an interesting crime to have on record.

wait what? i think it will be more like resurrection in battlefield than in surgeon simulator

Ignore the hotbar and other things, there will be no manual operating. Imagine that ambulance as a 3D space that your character is standing in, now imagine moving to different objects the help the patient make it. No on hand control persay, just moving to a defib and pressing E, or the Cabinet full of Drugs. Personally I think coming to a corpse, performing some simple actions on the spot and having them be revived is simply too bland, and straight forward.

However I agree, there should be a degree of simplicity but I think the most important thing is Immersion while still having fun.

EDIT: None of what I just said was confirmed by Devs, I am stating my opinions if such a system existed. I personally think its a great system if fleshed out properly.

The problem is that will lead to people shooting planes out of the sky, or the equivelant for whatever business they invest in. A stock market would be great, but it has to have the potential to ruin you if you aren't smart about it, otherwise they may as well make a 'free money' button.

I agree, they need to be careful if this is a plan for implementation. The stocks in-game should resemble real life "No potential Gains without Potential Pains"  but still retain aspects of simplicity that makes the system work.

How will adding player permissions work? will it be a physical thing where the owner has to walk up to the key hangar and add someone's name or will it just be like go to menu > options > housing > add member?

    Question for @Vix

I dont have the answer and also Im not Vix but, I think the key hanger idea is gold. It could be a neat way to illustrate how many players can have permissions to the home. I honestly see it working very well.

  7. I assume that official servers will be based all around America and certain areas of Europe. Its safe to assume that you will be able to find Community servers just about anywhere due to the amount of geographical diversity that the game has caught the attention of.

  8. I think cops might eventually see an inclusion of high-tier police cars that travel at fast speeds.

Heres a visual, I believe similar has been done in the Arma City Life Mod:

    LamboCop.jpg.be8005abe2987fc963d3b008a1d

As for ambulances I think it would be neat to walk in the small space of an ambulance and be able to interact with objects on the shelves to help the patient, but that is just a thought.

Here is another visual, with a provided example to help paint the picture bellow:

    InsideAmbulance.thumb.jpg.f6c7671c5aed14

So as you can see in the picture, there are drugs on the shelf, a defib found on the chair (makes more sense to have it on the wall, in my opinion) and other tools for examination found around the interior.

So lets say that the patient looses conciseness while being transported, the EMTs in the ambulance would have to go to the drug cabinet and grab an Epinephrine pen, and help revitalize the patient.

I think this idea would be neat for immersion if Identity doesn't plan to just teleport the player to the hospital.

  9. I like the sound of that, since you brought up truck simulator you reminded me about how certain jobs provided the player with a truck but with less pay and punishment for damaging the company's truck. That would be a very neat way to flesh out the system and give players who are interested in trying it out to get a foot in the door without having to buy an expensive truck.

As for the other things mentioned, I think the variety of trucks is paramount for the job just to give the drivers a personal feel to their job (seeing as they will be driving a lot).

Homes can be either owned or rented. The tax Motown speaks of is for ownership and is minimal (controlled to an extent by the governor). If you own a home you can put it on the rental market and someone will pay a rental fee which you set and  to which they agree. You can be a real estate mogal or rent to start until you build wealth enough to buy a home outright.

We expect that homes will be inexpensive to start but as demand grows rental prices will naturally increase.

Lets say that someone no longer pays the tax on his property and as a result loses it. I'm interested to know what will happen to the players belongings. Items like laptops, TVs (if you purchase them for your home), furniture, car, ect?

Are there plans for some sort of moving system?

Thats rough, my friend experienced a similar struggle. I had issues registering on the site due to high traffic, ended up playing yesterday and getting in very quickly and easily lol. The hype for this game insane.

    Read my post above.

Ah, I misinterpreted it. Thought you were talking about multiple characters in general, but looking at it now it makes more sense. And I think that kind of system would be perfect them, at least in the crime aspect of things.

I really hope the Hunters/Farmers will have the Castle Doctrine where you're allowed to kill trespassers, and also really hoping for Lever-Action type rifles.

(I'm also really hyped to farming and hunting in this game :) )

Ain't no one touching my chicken coop >.> lol

  14. Identity has already confirmed a hunting system and player made products being directly affected by Supply and Demand. My question is how hunting fits into this mechanic of Supply and Demand. For example: If a player is constructing an exotic fur coat to sell across specific Identity locations, would he in turn have to order the furs that are being affected by how much hunters are supplying within the market(s)?

A few other questions to raise about hunting: How will the license system work? Does the player simply apply for a general hunting license or will he have to request them per specific animal. Perhaps a tier based system? (Player starts with a starter license that allows him to hunt Rabbits, smaller birds, ect.)

Another question I feel I should raise is hunting seasons. Is it planned to have specific periods of time on the server where certain animals are off limits to be hunted? This could be a neat way to attmept to manage the Supply and Demand of servers in a less aggressive way. Example: A player who hunts deer and attempts to sell it a period of time where deer are not to be hunted, then he could potentially earn more money (unless the Supply is simply too large). Also a cool idea for penalizing hunters for killing animals that are off limits is by charging the player a small fee, temporarily revoking the license or some of its features/benefits. Or by penalizing said hunter in a form of progression (less progress earned from hunting over a small period of time or deducting a small amount of progress).

I apologize for the barrage of questions and ideas. The hunting aspect of Identity has been running rampant in my head lately and I felt that I should share some of these ideas to hear what you all think, or perhaps get a response from some of the Devs to hear their thoughts. I understand they are a bit hands full balancing other ideas, and pushing some of the limitations they may be experiencing while implementing other great features to the game. Thank you all for your time :)

  15. Being an artist would make sense as a hobby group but would be very cool if it was a risk-reward career. Not many people succeed at profiting off Art, but the really talented could find their work being very coveted for homes. Or even showcased in a museum for the whole server to behold, maybe even auctions for the rare, top tier paintings I know that skilled artists will make.

  16. This isn't a common choice for me in RP Scenarios but I think I will live a pretty nomadic life of hunting. Perhaps getting a job in delivery later, for some reason I am not in a hurry to get into crime or law enforcement this time around. As I live the hunter lifestyle I will probably keeping an eye out for a nice secluded property that allows me to hunt more with ease an convenience.

Anyway, I bought a package and browsed the forums a bit and figured, might as well register on the forums and get to know the people I'll probably be playing with.. So hi :)

've played a lot of games since I was 10. The games I played recently include Rust, ARK, SA:MP (yep, San Andreas Multiplayer, roleplay server) and Rocket League.

I'm very eager to start playing Identity RPG, especially as a police officer, to see how it's alike with being a police officer in real life (I'm a student in the police academy atm though).

Anyway, it's nice to meet you guys and I'm looking forward to playing with (some of) ya :)

Very nice to meet you :) I hope you feel at home. Also very nice taste in video games ;P Im sure your fit in just fine. How is the Netherlands this time of year? I hear the weather there was gonna be a bit more rough than normal.

  18. I dont know how much property will be in hilly or mountainous areas but I would perfer some sort of Log cabin or perhaps high end flat that provides a great view over a forest and maybe shows a city or town in the distance. A location that is ideal for hunting sounds very good to me :) Just step out and attempt to hunt some deer (poor Bambi :c).

Keep in wire tapping isn't something you just "turn on,"  Joel would of have to be wired anonymously by a government worker (small mic slipped in his jacket), also unlikely to happen in game, or have his phone switched out (Which most likely wont be possible)

This is very true, there are some factors blocking this from being a possibility. I presented the idea this way to keep things simple but I very much understand your point. Personally I think it will make the Law enforcement proceed in arrests with much more ease, which isnt necessarily a good thing.
