So would it be possible if someone loves creating 3D assets they could design and sell them on Identity as viable assets for others to use? Sort of like how there is SimResource for the Sims.

Unfortunately not, you will be able to build/ craft and sell furniture but not design it with out pre-made assets.

Yeah, that was a little unprecise in the description they made of "furniture design", but I guess that makes sense
