  1. Morgage? Rent?

    So when this HOPEFULLY awesome game is released. i expect to get my hands on all the money i can possible buy in this game, to buy up a huge ammount of flats etc. to rent out.  But what do you guys think the prices are gonna be to buy for example a 2 room flat?
  2. I really hope that there will be a wide enough variety of female clothing that my character won't be limited to dresses or other "feminine" wardrobe choices. I'm more of a flannels and suits kind of gal, if you feel me. I'd hate to see wardrobe choices be limited to my character's gender. With some exceptions, I can definitely assume. Hairstyles too. I really don't want to have long hair.  Us butch ladies exist, lol even if we may not have such options for a while, I hope you keep that in mind! Keep up the awesome work and I can't wait to play B)
  3. Housing in Town Square Module?

    Will we be able to customize a house in the Town Square Module if we've payed the $30 to play? Or do we have to buy one of the packages that includes a house?
  4. Housing Inspiration

    Hi everyone! I have been a house geek for a while now, and I'd like to provide some ideas and some photos for the devs to work with when creating the many homes around the island! Please feel free to leave a suggestion of your own!   Townhouses/Rowhouses These homes are most often found in inner cities. They are mostly historic, but there are more modern takes that are sometimes found in suburbs as well as in the cities.   Cabin/Mountain Retreat These types of homes are most often found in mountainous areas with large and beautiful vistas overlooking landscape and sometimes nearby cities.   Oceanfront/Beach Houses These homes are almost always on stilts to protect them home in case the tide comes in too far. They are often painted in bright and pastel colors. I imagine these homes being beachside in Turtle Beach on the island.       American Foursquare These homes are most often found in the outskirts of cities and in rural villages. These homes usually have slim driveways and detached garages behind the home.   Victorian These houses are most often found in cities and rural villages, but can sometimes be spotted in the suburbs.   American Suburban These houses are most often found in neighborhoods in city suburbs.     Split Level These homes are most often found in city suburbs and rural areas, but sometimes can be found in the outskirts of cities.   Cape Cod These homes are most often found in rural areas and in city suburbs.   New American These homes are most often found in city suburbs and in semi-rural areas.   Farmhouse These homes are found in rural areas and are usually met with large porches, lots of land, and barns.

So I have a couple of questions about Apartments, Houses, and Business buildings like factories and small shops and stuff because I heard there was a unlimited amount of apartments but a limited amount of houses (and I'm assuming the same goes for buildings) on the island. Apartments  So I heard there will be a unlimited number of apartments and I was wondering if everyone will have an apartment to live in when they first start or will they have to pay for it just like any other building along with rent? I believe hearing people will get an apartment for awhile when they start for free but will they eventually actually have to go out and buy one and pay the rent? Will the apartments be on the map for a player to walk to and will high end apartments be the same as the unlimited apartments as in there is a unlimited amount of them? Or will they be unique like the houses on the island? Houses  So I heard about every house being unique and such but what if every single house was owned and everybody had live in apartments, would they be available for purchase when the player leaves the server or is it forever owned? I think this would be a bit disappointing because what if the player hasn't been on for quite awhile and they still own that house? Will there be some sort of time limit on how long they can own the house if they are gone? If it does work like that, would the player lose the money they put into the house? How many houses will a player be able to own? I don't know how else to ask these questions but I hope you understand them. Buildings  So this is similar to the questions I asked about the houses. What if all the buildings were owned and people weren't able to create their business and expand? Will the building be there forever owned by the player who bought it or will everybody have a chance to create a business? Will the building eventually be un-owned when they leave or will there be a time limit for how long they are gone? How many buildings can you own? Will every building look different and have a different layout? One more question. Is there a limit to how many people can be inside a building, house, and apartment?
  6. To, Dev team i would like to know how far you guys will go with the character customization as usually it is a big thing. So, in terms of facial appearance ageing and all that what should we be expecting And for people that dont have money or dont want to buy someone elses design will there be added default clothing. i would also like to know wether you would be able to copy and paste in desgns for clothing etc. yours gratefully, The IdentityThief 
  7. Snowy Mountain Homes?

    Apparently there's a lot of talk of housing/homes being placed in the snowy mountains (skiing and snowboarding resort). Does anyone have any further information on this?

With the advertised feature of player controlled companies and the furthermore advertised feature of being able to work for said companies in the transportation and delivery aspect, I got thinking; I'd love to be able to create a stereo-typically looking bloke with a big bushy beard, red flannel shirt and work boots! But no stereotypical truck driver is complete without a little bit of chub around the edges! So my question is, can I make the character of my dreams, flab and all?

    Hello, again I 've been meaning to ask this question for a while now. Let's say a player decides to open a business, for example a clothing store. Would he be able to customize the exterior appearance of the store other than the interior ? Like adding a glass showcase, having a custom logo-sign etc?

    Hi, Will players be able to upload or design a logo/decal in game witch the player can use for different things? Perhaps get a custom made gang tattoo, put a gang logo on you car and clothes. It would also be cool if you could tag or spray paint walls to show that you own that turf. I guess the last one can be quite hard to implement, but it would be cool.  Will there be other things we will be able to design/customize with like a devtool with limited access or something like that?  I am sucker for design and customization and i can see so many opportunities in Identity.   Thx for creating my dream game!  Best regards  Hultnbultn

    I was wondering that can you grow weed in your apartment? and if you can, can you have some kind of growing tents or something like that. And if so where you get seeds etc that you need for growing?
  12. Okay so basically the program I pitched was called Pedestrian. Before I heard of Identity, it was a walking environment exploration simulator, with a lot of room to grow. I feel like these ideas could be helpful in creating the in game world and full-immersion possibilities (and have basic sketches of how these ideas would be implemented   It sounds really boring on paper, but I think it has potential to be a really deep experience with opportunities for a deeply interactive user experience where users could actually contribute to the catalogue of different environments.   It would basically start with flying a drone with two omnidirectional cameras around the environment you’d want to capture. The footage could then be plugged into a program that maps the location into a 3 dimensional virtual space which can then be accessed and modified to fit the needs of the simulation (eg. Scrubbing pedestrians and unnecessary objects from the map, changing signs and architecture to avoid copyright infringement, adding relevant interactive interiors or objects). I see this as a simple way to create a game map, and while I think the ultimate goal would be to emulate a city walking experience, it could also be used to experience natural environments or landmarks along with locations around the world users may not have the means to experience. The infrastructure of this technology could ideally be used to make maps for videogames and other V.R. experiences.   The initial beta would probably be a barebones exploration experience for funding purposes, but I envision a final product with hidden collectables, mission-based storylines, unlockables, and eventually an all-out MMO life simulator.   Another idea I had for the experience is a phone application that can utilize facial mapping and possibly body mapping so users can see themselves in storefront windows, water reflections, and obviously mirrors- to be able to look at their arms in-game and see every scar and blemish, to really dial in the perceived realism of the whole product. A gesture system could be instituted to: -reach up and put earbuds in their to listen to custom playlists, or take them out to hear the sounds of the city or wilderness they’re in. -open doors, and explore interiors -drive vehicles, steer bikes, interact with various objects around the map  -perform various seemingly mundane actions that would become challenging and deep in-simulation (mowing a lawn, washing a car, playing a piano) I think a great idea for the project would be to allow users to capture their own environments and modify them in a map editor the Pedestrian staff would provide and make their own custom objects and upload them to some kind of an environment hub, and ideally be able to take a cut of either real dollars or in-game currency from others purchasing and downloading their maps. With the abundance of simulation games and their popularity, the big picture I see at the end of the road is all the simulator games that are hindered by variety not competing anymore, but contributing and building each other up until we eventually reach an ultimate life simulation, as I mentioned earlier.   It is a massive undertaking to get to the final realization of a massive life rpg, but the reward of creating a truly realistic economy in a virtual setting would revolutionize the entire world of interactive art in a way that’s never been attempted.

While listening to the recent Q&A  PowerGaming7 hosted, I heard that the Meth RV is able to be deployed anywhere "safe" or in certain places around the map!     With that ^ ~40 seconds of insight, I was wondering if livable tiny homes on wheels and RV's could exist? One might drive the home or RV around when packed up, and to be able to effectively use it again, said player would have to "deploy" the home.  It would be cool to see what other people think; share your thoughts!   *I'm aware nothing is truly set in stone as of yet and that things usually end up changing rather dramatically.

I was just thinking about how the housing seems to be designed, and I had an idea: If you are an occupant of a house, you should get a Premium slot in the queue to join the server your house is on. This would help lead to the sense of accomplishment from having access to a house.  To clarify, I think the house "occupant" should have the slot, NOT necessarily the homeowner. If the house is rented out to someone, there is not really a need to give the owner a premium slot.    This may be something y'all already have in the works, but I thought I'd put it out there just in case.

    Hi My name is Aaron and I only heard of this game today, but I am going to buy it within the next 3 days when I have my money together I was wondering if in the future you can get pets not just cats and dogs but pigs, horses, sheep, snakes, spiders, lizards and many others It would be a very very cool thing to have in game since I own two pigs in real life, it would be nice if I could get them in game Really enjoying what I see so far, keep up the amazing work.
  16. facial accessories

    hello wonderful people of identity, i do apologize if this has already been asked but here goes. will our characters be able to have in depth facial accessories such as an eye patch? for example if i wanted my character's backstory to be he was in a shooting accident or a fight gone too far or just gone partially blind from birth/ accident/ disease etc, could the customization be in depth to the point of having eye damage on one or both eyes as well as an eye patch to cover said eye. like i said i'm not sure if this has been asked but i'd love for my character to be rocking an eye patch. any help with this query would be a big help.

    I think it would be very cool to have a room where you could store your money either in a safe or scattered across the floor just a suggestion. a bit like GTA V horrible comparisons but that`s all i could compare it to.  
  18. So I am just wondering how the YouTube videos will be selected to be put onto the in game TV's. Also will there be different YouTube videos being shown as time goes on or, will it be like GTA 5 where the videos played will be the same even 5 years from now.   I would expect @HairyGrenade would be the only one with this kind of info.   19. If a player has to have an invite to enter any sort of housing how will police raid the drug labs and stuff? Will there be a certain area to make drugs or can you make them anywhere? Also what if you are at war with another gang and want to raid there coke stash or something like that how ill that work?
  20. if your friend invites you to live with him, what happenes when he logs off? Will the house still be able to enter from my side? Will his vehicles still be outside his home? Thanks for reading
  21. Hello there, I have a few simple questions which may be quite dumb to ask but, I'll ask anyways. First of all, I would like to know if there are going to be any beards/facial hair styles in the game. In a lot of games I always see that they forget to add red/ginger colored hair, will we be able to mix colors or will we have a big color spectrum that we can choose from?   22. One bedroom, two occupants?

    "  For instance, two friends, or a married couple can choose to purchase a 2 bedroom apartment where they both can live comfortably with each other. "   What if you are married and want to sleep in the same bed, or what if one bedroom has two beds, or if you and a friend can sleep in a double bed? Can a one-bedroom apartment hold two people?
  23. Servers + Houses = Confusion

    Hi all, This confuses me: A player will be able to own a pice of land on that server and only that server. What does this mean?  If I buy land on server one and server one becomes full on a certain day and I play server two, but my house is on server one. Does this mean that players are assigned servers and can only play on that server? If so what happens if your in a club and it is on server two, but I am on server one what happens then? Please help me!
  24. Max Capacity?

    What is going to be the max size of housing?  How many players can live in a house at once?

I was wondering once you are able to buy houses, or appartments can you buy more than one... ie have your original apartment and then live in a house, I get the feeling you can but wanted to make sure. Also does anyone know when buying housing (apartment or house) will unlock to buy with in game money?
