What I was asking was how do we actually pick our job as a cop? When we create our character?

It will be when you are on the server, you will have to apply for a Cop position :) You don't pick cop when you pick your character, you will only be able to choose what he looks like.

I am sure that a lot of games like Rust and such which have official servers don't have mods constantly on their servers or such and well I just think it will be hard to get people because if the moderators do something then it makes the devs look even worse because it is the company's image.I get your point and I will ask what will happen to prevent such things but in reality how many games have any mods stopping such things. (GTA has none and many more like it).

Precisely, the only thing that may need to be decided is how people become police on these official servers.  Having mods may be nice but if they abuse and it gets out it reflects badly on the game as a whole.  Maybe you should be a mod LuckyDuck ,  Just don't abuse :P

can u build a car engine piece by piece as a civ or is that only for the mechanic job ?

I think that would be pretty advanced, so I doubt it.  There will most probably be mechanic jobs, but not sure, as it there may be AI to get your car fixed and to buy cars from, so not sure what place a mechanic may have in the game.  They could have stats like repairing cars faster or something similar?

There should be jobs in the educational area. We should be able to be a principal, a teacher, or a school nurse. The children could be AI characters as for any other job that requires multiple people!!!!

There should be jobs in the law enforcement area such as: Police officer, Detective, FBI agents to take down "super criminals", DEA agents, Probation officers, jail officers, judges, random unpaid jury appearances, and social workers if children exist

There should be basic government jobs so new laws can build into the game, like real life, and laws can be removed as well. like: president, vice president, voters, political parties, and the cabinet branches of the government.

We should be able to become farmers, grocery store/ furniture ect. owners, factory owners, truck drivers, or someone who makes money by selling things at a flea market.

There should be jobs in the medical field like: Peramedics, surgeons, doctors, dentists, and nurses.

or other jobs like taxi driver, school bus driver, bus driver, burger flipper, cash register attendant. ect.

Game studios are very reluctant to add children to games, and unfortunately, I really don't think it will be added to Identity.  Obviously you most of us are normal, but there are some odd people out there who would do some unpleasant things, so they don't add children AI to most games, and even in games you can add them, you can't harm/kill them.

As for the other jobs, they sound like really good ideas and I think they are planned already thankfully so you should see them coming later on in the game.

There is no information about the system requirements yet.

If you can run Games like GTA5, ARK or ARMA3 you can also run Identity.

I can run games like PUBG and GTA V so I don't think I have to be worried ;)

These sound about right, but since it is a first module coming out it may be a bit harder as it could be the case that is isn't fully optimised, to begin with.  Hopefully it will be all good though :P

  7. I love how people are already making so many groups and discord servers, and even emails in preparation.  Shows how amazing the community is going to be when it comes out :)  Looks like you are always gonna see new, unique things

  8. I guess in the server there would have to be some sort of legal system where someone deems if using the other is just or not.  Otherwise, I can't see it happening, as it is very hard to prove you stole their idea and didn't just come up with the same idea.  I guess like if you copied someone's painting and sold exact copies you could try and sue?

I doubt you could sue for much though, as money looks like it will be tight, which is nice as it seems realistic.

This is what's been pissing me off. I literally sent more than 20 ppl to check out Identity. 3 of them pledged OUT OF 20+ ppl. Everyone I asked, why they didn't pledge. Responded the same, has too many scam posts or taking too long and they will wait to see what happens before pledging to make sure it's not another No Man's Sky...THAT really irks me.

I getting sick of being told by kids that I'm bragging because of what I say I put into this game. That's the way a KID thinks, I said what I put invested into getting Identity to compare to the people if people like me, who understand what it takes to make something from nothing. Can be patient with the developers and give them time to make one of the most ambitious games in gaming history. Yes, I belive Identity will revolutionize gaming.

Then the posers that just want a cheap game, not to help development, can wait like everyone else without actually deterring people from the project. With help like that who needs enemies or your $15 or $30 if your gonna whine about it.  Damn right I'm goin to be pissed my hard work is being sabotaged by so called "pledgers". Some posers trying to save a buck on an awesome game. These people shoulda waited for PRE-ORDER, NOT pre development and early access. I really feel they are doin more harm than good.

But I know,  I am a horrible person. Because how dare I get pissed off, they don't get mad they get annoyingly condescending and try to act like they are the voice of reason and they never get even slightly upset. One thing I hate about the internet is it gives these KIDS internet muscles and they talk like they would never talk in your face. Anonymity makes people brave. I paid my dues...I'll be damned if some kid my son would smack is gonna give me shit. Especially because they have a right to whine because they are unreasonable. Takes em forever to do their chores but dont make a game in a week and they wanna crucify you. They win I'm done with these forums it become too much measuring and condescending.  Hope the game makes it. I'll see you in game if it does.

Personally, I think this forum is pretty nice.  The majority of people are very supportive and nice, and really helpful :)

However, I understand what you are saying, especially about other forums such as Reddit, which is why I made the post as its something that really does need change.

Its runs fine on medium build PC's that can run GTA V and such. The Switch has Skyrim SE and Doom running on it, I think with some optimization it could possibly be playable

Last I remember they said Identity would be quite hard to run, but you have to remember that these big games Switch has are mainly single player games, the only large-scale MMO's these types of console have are very small and easy to run, usually only for switch as they are built for them and not for PC.

At this point it would probably be incredibly hard to insert ourselves into a reddit like that, especially with that much hate towards the game. It would probably be better if we were to create our own sub reddit. Also, while the Office Tour video does show that they have an office, it doesn't necessarily show off the game, it can be used as an argument for it not being a scam, but because most people are usually cynics on the internet, you should probably add a bit more examples with it :D

When I made it, I thought that that fact they bought an office with all this equipment would perhaps be proof it wasn't a scam, but I get your point :)
As to making a new subreddit,  the current ones have 1k+ Subs, and some people may judge how big the game is off the subscribers to the Sub-Reddit.  It may be a good idea, however!  It would be up to the devs to make a new one, as they are of course the ones who have to be in charge.

  12. Reddit is one of the most popular sites out there, and no doubt a lot of people who think about pledging to Identity could be a bit scared as it is an "early access" game at the moment, and many have had bad experiences with them.  It seems however if people check the identity page on Reddit, just scrolling down there is mainly post after post about people claiming this game is a scam, and it will never come out, which could harm the game's reputation and make people not pledge, which is only hurting the Dev's and their resources to make the game come out as polished, and fast as possible.     I, along with most of us who go on this forum here regularly, whether to just lurk and read (like me) or to ask questions about Identity honestly believe this game is 100%, not a scam, or "another DayZ" or No Mans Sky.  With the release date coming out, all the dev streams, all the contact we have had with the devs, it seems like a lot of hard work has gone into this game, and it is such a shame seeing its reputation ruined by people who probably have not even bothered trying to message the devs on the website to ask.  In the past week, it has gotten a lot better due to the devs being really good and giving us a lot of information, and even an office tour (link below).  So, as a community, why don't we try and clean up the Sub-Reddit, and make it a much more pro-Identity place than the mess it really is at the moment.  The Reddit's link is https://www.reddit.com/r/IdentityMMO/

    I'm sure if we show the positivity of the community, people will be much more willing to help out the devs and the game will grow a lot more, so there is a larger, thriving community for when Town Square comes out.  Reddit is such a large site that many people may check there to see about the game before even checking the actual forums on the website so we need to make sure it isn't filled with just negative comments about the game and is more like what these forums are like.  I have started by making a post trying to put out the facts to convince people the game isn't a scam at;

  13. I do not believe so.  Yes, it has been unfortunate that the community did not get too much proof of the game early on, and that really discouraged lots of people into spreading false/bad news about the game.  It was delayed a lot, but personally, I would much rather a polished, good game, or even a reasonably playable first module (which I am super hyped for) than a buggy mess that it may have been if they rushed it due to pressure from the community.  I am sure the devs will deliver an amazing game, we just have to wait.

  14. If you have questions, not on the dev blog, you could always try asking on the dev streams, I find them to be really useful.

Or you could always try PM'ing a dev/mod, they're really cool about these things and I'm sure they will answer it best they can

  15. Yeah, really excited.  I have been waiting a while but knew that eventually, it would come out.  Must have been hard for such a small dev team, but I honestly think we will all be happy with what comes out.
