    Hello!

I like your idea but I believe you should go into more detail with; the chain of command, positions available, the firms information (what you do, how you originated) and such on.

    Good luck :)

Uhm no.. First off that's not at all how you would host such a thing.. You would use a redundant server setup with many servers in a hosting location where the outgoing connection is insanely high.. Also you would never start a game like this with that many players.. It would just be chaos.. And I'm not even going to get into why running Arma 3 with ultra settings @ 500FPS is completely irrelevant..

If it was multiple servers, it would be more of a hub. Also that is not irrelevant at all because 10,000 people on a 200 square km map is 50 people per square km which means in cities, it would be crazy. Your PC would have to be amazing to handle thousands of people around you. It is how you would host something like that, you are right about an amazing outgoing connection but what would that do if the server was like an i5? It would crash immediately.

You won't be able to because the apartment is instanced...

They already have had this suggested to them/ ask about and they have been considering it but we are not sure it will be in and definitely not at full release anyways.

Are you trying to tell me there are no windows in the apartments?

  8. Imagine being in your nice new apartment, looking out the window, and seeing a huge tornado.

Natural Disasters would be the next level of roleplay, but it shouldn't cause huge damage. Tornados for example could be away from the cities, more towards farm land. Not a huge tsunami but more of a flood, just real situations that we could get into that wouldn't kill everyone and ruin the game.

As an example, if there was a flood you would have to get your boat to get around the city and keep your car in your garage. In a tornado, you have to get in a shelter because the tornado might push you where you don't want to go, but nothing too serious where someone would lose a lot of money or die. This shouldn't be in the town square module, more of something for the full release of the game.

This idea is good, but it can't happen... e.g. I can't add separate forums and make moderators only be able to moderate on those sections and well I use the same host as this forum. Then again, It might be possible to do, but a lot of hassle for the devs.

I don't know about these forums, but on MyBB that was possible. You could make a separate forum group and choose what it does on specific sub forums. To avoid too many requests, there can be some requirements like 1000 unique players before you can get a forum.

    Indeed!

So here's a further suggestion on how to perhaps get rid of that idea of building randomly appearing and getting bigger. Perhaps there should be a construction site around that building that is being constructed to a higher level. And if you're going to get a big skyscraper-like building, you should be near the city area, perhaps?

It's not too complicated to figure out, just takes some discussion and some time to solve these minor complications.

and I appreciate you offering to help! I might just take you up on that! ;)

    Kind regards,

    Alphoni

Also there should be zoning, specific areas will have a maximum height of how high the building can be. Also it should take like a few in game weeks to be upgraded.

What If they have a lot of money? it could probably be there forever. I think it would kinda suck for the players wanting to start a business. I at least hope there is enough houses for how many people can be in the server.

I don't know if there will be office buildings, but if there are like apartments there will be an unlimited number of them.

  12. Instead of servers having to make their own forums, servers should be able to apply for their own forum on these forums. The owners of the server will be able to moderate it and put all of their needed threads like applications for mod, and cop. This would encourage everyone to be active on these forums instead of the community being on a ton of different forums server owners make.

I don't think this will be a thing because you cannot / get a camera and there won't be such a object in game and you cannot import / export things in or out the game.

That's why it's a suggestion, buy a movie studio and a camera and make one. Then people buy tickets to see it if they liked the trailer.

    Nice intro :).
JamesLuck01 said "there will be no TV stuff that includes camera objects in-game and also there won't be a career on sports or combat sports. Those things "Sports" are extra fun things to do and so the player must do it by gathering friends and making a team and then maybe create a league but the streaming can be done by players on twitch and then people can go to that stream on the TV but nothing in game will stream to the TV's."

I could be wrong but I believe this applies to what you're asking as well. Maybe you can make a video with a group of friends and play it on the in-game TV and publish yourself. If it's really good and people like it and view it alot, you could be making youtube money lol. Maybe you can act at the concert place they have in-game but I'm not sure if it's for acting, it's just for music as far as I know. I hope this answered your question!
