  1. How many people are still playing ? I heard somewhere a lot of people are leaving the game, I really want to try it out, do you think it is worth it or will it be a ghost town in the next two months ?

Nice idea, would be cool but I doubt we will have it. Most likely will get limited stuff. I am not sure as the devs have not told us how/ what will happen with cars until they start working on them after the first 2 modules are out.

Thanks for the reply, I thought it'd be a fun thing for the trucking aspect of the game as well, to deliver car parts to manufacturers.

  3. I was wondering to what extent player car manufacturing will be in Identity, will I be able to build cars from the ground up in a factory making my own unique car models for sale as a car manufacturing entrepreneur, put my company logo on it and sell it to other players in the game and effectively take over the business, or will we be limited to trading, buying and selling specific cars that are already in the game but will not be able to build our own ?

If there is a car building and manufacturing mechanic in the game, how does it work ?

I imagine the game has a bunch of parts that do different things and have different stats and maybe you just put them together and make a car out of them, or maybe players might even be able to make their own parts (performance and cosmetic) and sell them to car manufacturers to put into cars that they build.

Is any of this in Identity so far, if so to what extent ?

  4. I was wondering how the Library in the game is going to work, not exactly like how will the books be read, but how will you choose which real world books to include in the game, and how will you get them in the game, do you kind of purchase the ebooks from Amazon or some other website or whatever then upload them into the game, or do you have to write them out manually ?

If you need help finding the books and writing them out and / or editing the books I would like to offer some help as I am a writer and very interested in the game, so if ever the devs need a hand with anything to do with that I wouldn't mind helping out.

Also when it comes to choosing books, my reading taste seem to fall mostly onto books which are already in the public domain, so I might be able to help with that too if need be :)

Just thought I'd offer a hand, I'd imagine the workload is pretty rough on the devs of this game, also I am genuinely interested in how the library is going to work in this game and the publishing of your own writing in the game.

  5. I am in the frame of mind that they should take their time and release only what is solid and concrete, then too release a lot of information and rush development to satisfy doubters, they are a very small team and if they're only 2 years into development I don't see the big deal, it says on their first module that it is 76% complete, I say don't complain about how long it has been since any worthwhile news, and just don't pledge until you see the first module, I think that'd be the best way to go about it.

There will be more leather jackets and biker gear. The idea is to just cover every theme we can at first and expand from there. The artist responsible for the character sculpting/modeling is Miroslav Disanski (portfolio: http://disanski.com/)!

I like how it seems that you want to proactively update the game after the release, I feel it'd be hard to run out of things to put in a game like this, I can't wait to see the future styles and creative updates that'll come post-release.

You're seriously not comparing the development of the biggest AAA game in existence to an indie MMO... Get real compare this to No Mans Sky, a year into Development they already had a nice big trailer with fewer devs working on it at the time, almost 2 years of dev time here and nothing but the concept trailer.

Yes, he was saying that GTA 5 started development in 2008 and wasn't complete for another 5 years, and that's an AAA game by a relatively large team, this is from my understanding a 9 person team, so the comparison is fair.

No Man's Sky didn't do a lot of the things that they promised, and the game was clearly rushed, I got 50 hours of fun gameplay out of NMS but I would easily wait another 5 years for this game then have another No Man's Sky.

  8. I think OP meant a sort of taxi company that you could do jobs for without having it as a full time career perhaps ? That'd be a pretty fun way to make a little bit of cash if you had a car.

  9. Hi all, my name is Ryan, I'm from Brisbane in Australia.

I was looking for a good real life simulation game on google when I came across this game, I like what I see so far, I'm a big player of GTA 5, I've played the sims from 1 - 4, not as big of a fan of the sims though, this game looks like it's shaping up to be something really cool, I'm also a writer, so I am very interested in the writing and library system!

If I like what I see in the near future I'll definitely consider pledging.
