Ok one. I have been fucked over in life plenty of times buddy. Two I like to keep things happy over here. Plus you need to understand that things are hard to make a game cant come out in 1 year. The amount of stuff identity is offering is going to be great once it is completed. So One please dont talk to me with that tone. and two see you in the Town Square.

    Thank you I agree 100%%%%

Do you always start your conversations with a number, then sequentially go down the line with the points you want to make? It is hard to make a game, but we're not asking for the game to be released. We're asking for a very small section to be released, which has taken 3 years for part of that small section to be completed.

I really would not care if the module is not out. I rather play the full game than a module.  That is just me, everyone has an different feeling regarding that.  Just every month show us some stuff, make it enjoyable, have fun doing a showcase even like the Star Citizen people did.  It's profitable for you as a developer, you get folks hyped up.

You'll be waiting a long time to get any return on your game purchase if you wait for the full game, a long time.

there was a bug which caused a database issue and which was the cause for some of slow speed on the last task, however they have fixed that issue and now moving forward with the last task.

Where is this written? What database issue are you talking about? Can you link me to something? Also shouldn't there be a team dedicated to networking?

True,  Bugs will be there no matter what.  Have not seen a  single game released where they did not run into any bugs.

There will be more bugs on than average with Identity.

There will be bugs always but it is the last task which they are focusing on and when they fix something it creates more bugs. The task is moving along slowly but we will see it completed.

That task has been moving along slowly for quite a while now. With what we've seen, I don't think the module will be released this year.

Sometimes they may be at a stage where they can do certain things or they would be not functional.  But they did show some videos of game play.  I think a dev dairy would be a great thing to glue everything back together with the community.

No dev diary, absolutely not. That gives them more opportunities to lie. I want a pure closed beta that shows the real true state of the game, not fabricated streams where they are VERY carefully on what they show, so the game appears that it's not broken when in reality the majority of the game isn't functional yet.

    Not sure.

Yes, you are one of the people who have waited the longest time for this. I do agree but one thing is that Every company is using the "Release now, fix later" type of excuse just to make more money. Asylum is breaking that and trying to set the better standards in which was broken by big money companies.

Now you're just talking out of your ass again man. If Asylum actually had enough content to be released, they would have done so already. It's been three years. Asylum isn't breaking anything, they just don't have enough to release. I guarantee there will still be tons of bugs the town module is eventually released, and that's when they will adopt the "release now, fix later" tactic.

It's hard for you because the kickstarter that you pledged on was in CAD and the exchange rate from USD - CAD has changed since then and so it causes too many problems really IMO. However you can try by PM'ing BeachBall about it while mentioning you are a kickstarter backer. You seem to have been patient for this long time but now giving up? IMO giving up now is not worth it for me as I too have waited for my dream game which I would rather keep supporting them and wait until it releases.

I think it's most people's dream game. My point is, everytime someone brings up the pink elephant in the room, they are shunned for not being patient enough. It's been three god damn years, I want to see something happen. A closed alpha. I don't give a shit that all you can do is play chess, walk into a bike store, and sing karaoke. That would give me enough to last like a week. How about release the fucking game, and do small weekly updates so we see progress being made.

You didn't buy the game on kickstarter if you mean that. You pledged / donated to a future game you wanted to help with.

Alright, how easy would it be to get a refund for something you donated to three years ago? Not that simple. Knowing that there are not many people getting refunds.

  8. 6 minutes ago, LuckyDuck said:

They 1 refund people. Does that get taken into consideration? Also They wouldn't have 1 mill still when they have been paying for devs. Game development isn't cheap.

If they were really using the funds to their full potential, there would be a lot more content than there is now. They've actually received $1.3 mil in funding, and I'm certain they still have a large chunk of that still. How easy is it to get a refund btw? Calling up a company asking for a refund for a game you thought you bought three years ago isn't really all that simple.

  9. 5 minutes ago, dagtag said:

You mean people who don't refund immediately and make the development all that harder?
Or do you mean people who actually have faith in the company they invested in?
Or do you maybe mean people who actually do their research before posting something?

Well if that's what you mean then yeah they still have supporters like me, because unlike you I don't create my account just so I can post 5 different replies bashing the game in 5 different discussions on the same day that I created the account.

I've been following the forums for a while, just made my account today. I remember the hype surrounding the game when the Kickstarter was first announced, I myself was extremely excited. But if over the past 3 years the content they pushed out hasn't put a dent in your faith, there's no hope for you. You're comparable to an SJW, the town module will not be released this year, it just won't. They're stringing you along like a lost cause.

    2 minutes ago, LuckyDuck said:

That game, how big was the team? how much funding? also are you sure they didn't do a year development before announcing anything?

Are you sure Identity didn't do development before releasing the Kickstarter video? How long did the Kickstarter video take to make? It was definitely worth it for them, $1 mil+ in funding.

  10. 8 minutes ago, LuckyDuck said:

Did you even watch the gameplay streams? because they clearly tell you otherwise about content being there!

Listen I get it, you're a moderator, your job is to protect the integrity of Identity. But you're fighting a lost war. Is there a closed alpha for backers to play the game yet? No? I wonder why.

  11. What happens after they finish the apartment system within the next year, hopefully? They have to develop a way for you to earn money, cosmetics for the game to be entertaining, and a multitude of other items. If there's still fixing bugs within the apartment system, they've got a long way to go before the town module can hold more than a day of content before backers get bored and request more.

it wasn't supposed to release in 2016, the Kickstarter only allows the release date to be a certain amount of time after the Kickstarter was created. The first initial expected release date was 2017, between then and now they have thrown away all their code and rewritten all of it.

They threw all their code and rewrote it, nice. Glad you believe that man. Just throw it all away, don't release anything for the public for three years. It's good that they still have supporters like you.

    2 minutes ago, LuckyDuck said:

It's actually quite simple that no games take 2 years to develop. Nor can you create a Kickstarter with more than 2 years as the deadline.... So that 2016 date was a kickstarter max deadline.

If there was content to be released, they would have done it by now. The town module will not be released for a while.

That's all just speculation, the way you composed your comment makes it seem like you are certain of this, which you cant be, therefor you are intentionally spreading false information. The reason why they are taking their time is so there will be little to no bugs in the game... learn how the course of development goes, stop being pessimistic and stop spreading lies...

    1

So there will be little bugs in the game huh? What's amazing is that if I hooked you up to a lie detector test, you'd believe half the shit your saying. You WISH they were at the point to which bugs were being fixed, there are no bugs to fix because there's little content being created. Three years and we get a video of some guy walking around a closed world that doesn't even have a finished coffee shop. Also, the way you type makes me think you're using a 5th-grade argumentative essay template.

there is no way to possibly know that. GTA and identity are two different games. GTA has a story, a multiplayer story, npc's and whatnot. These things are not as easy to develop. Identity has almost no npc's and the npc's they do have don't participate in driving and such, they also don't need to make a story or something.

It's actually quite simple. This game was supposed to be released December 2016, and it is now August 2018 with just the slightest increase of transparency among the that being developed. Open your eyes.

well if you have payed for the game then shall you have 100% trust in the devs like i have

You're being catfished, there's no pot of gold at the end of this tunnel. Get that through your skull man, when Identity is released, they will still blame the enormous amount of bugs on "lack of time", "funding issues", and "they will be fixed soon". You're trying to send out good karma by saying you have trust in the developers, but in the back of your mind, you know damn well that this game is far from being released.
