There are so many types of protection.

Police

bomb squad

FBI

SWAT

CSI

Specialists

do you think they will all be represented? What differences will each bring?

How About a VIP protection squad. You need someone to protect the governors too..

Great idea. The cost of diplomatic protection should be covered by the State. Only certified, trained, members will be afforded that right to serve as the Governor's protection. A Diplomatic Protection Service sounds like a great business idea.... hmm: DPS is responsible for the protection of Government officials, VIPs and diplomats in the Identity servers.

The Governor is provided continual protection. VIPs and visiting diplomats are provided protection on an as-needed basis and must front the cost of such protection, unless providing their own. A range of protection services are also provided for domestic VIP operations.

For domestic operations, protection can include:
Advance venue and route familiarisation and planning
Venue and accommodation searches
Venue and accommodation security

Walking escorts
Motorcades
Safe haven and other contingency planning
Liaison with foreign Police and protection agencies
Coordination with other Police district protection officers and general duties staff

Protection advice to partner agencies, Police district protection officers and general duties staff
Liaison with external agencies.

If I were to join any police force, it would most probably be the FBI or SWAT Forces. They seem pretty cool imo.

I plan on doing TCU (Traffic Control Unit)(probably a different name for it) I'll basically be unit that is part of the sheriff department that specialize in traffic control like checkpoints, speed traps and roadblocks.

TCU also does regular patrols when not doing traffic control.

It helps keep traffic moving while doing what is needed.(EX. Checkpoints, roadblocks.)

It will require a knowledge on traffic flows, amount of traffic on road and key choke points to set up checkpoints and road blocks.

What do you think about TCU?

I think that Highway Patrol is a beter name for that. I love the idea though

anyone who says he will open defense service will end as trashman or hobo. that's it! criminals won't kill everybody everyday. it's like altis life with more SERIOUS roleplay. even inpolite reallife police that joined the community, because who the fuck wants inpolite peoples or peoples that act like maniacs in his organisation/company?

There will definitely be normal police, obviously, which you will start as.

Since bombs are not in the game, I cannot see the bomb squad being part of it.

FBI will most likely be in the game, or I hope so at least. What they could do is merge the CIA, secret service, and FBI, because there might not be enough for people to do as one of the jobs, or even enough people to do the work. But if they merged them into one body that managed all the things those three organisations do, that could work.

SWAT we know will be in the game.

CSI I can't see being in the game.

Detectives definitely will, but I don't know what you mean by specialists.

As some has said before, I would most likely be interested in the detective and IA positions. Can't wait the future of the PD!

This would be known as the Capital Police which is a branch of the Federal Law Enforcement, they have to be highly trained and need more (almost always) then a high school degree. You also have to take a full medical examination and polygraph test, to make sure you are able to join.
