Have you ever wanted to get married with that special someone? They could replace some of the NPCs with Interactable NPCs...

It won't happen anyways and likely won't ever happen because they don't want "sex" in the game nor "Child avatars".

Also you can RP as someones child, but a grown up child e.g. a adult.

I personally don't want NPC's roaming, and that is the game breaker for me.

Whole bunch of nope!

Marriage and adoption will be in game, however it will all be player based, not NPC. Children will be young adults at the very least, and you won't be able to sleep with your significant other.

Who TF wants to marry or have a NPC as a significant other or child...

I agree. I don't want it to be like a movie where you can't tell if it's a NPC or person. I'd rather each interaction be human.

I could see marriage status in game such as if you play the game with your gf or wife or whoever, but to me I couldn't really care either way. Although having joint incomes for a household would make buying stuff easier...

@The1TheOnlyGonzo someone who doesn't want toget yelled at xD but for real, I agree with you.

I think it will be interesting to see some small in game bonus to a marriage. Like some home decor and/or a marriage certificate that you can post on a wall. I wouldnt want to share my funds, as i dont in RL either. Nor would i want npc children of anykind running around. i like that this game is going to pursue real people instead of fillers and i for one would like it to stay as such.

Lol I apologize if it seemed like I was trying to crap on your or your OP, i just was looking to inform.

Also @NerdMouse another possible advantage with marriage would be having a second person watching over your estate, which could prevent your estate being put up for auction if you die.

In my opinion, marriage should exist within the game while possessing the ability to adopt a subject that functions as an older teen considering that it seems unnecessary for the game to be cluttered with NPC children within a serve that could potentially consist of one-thousand players. However, it does not seem to be a TERRIBLE idea for NPC children to be running throughout the streets to a certain degree considering that players could easily differentiate between players and AIs based on the height of the characters.

i agree with this, especially on hours that the servers could be slow, it would not be fun to drive around the city or walk around an empty city. filler NPC wouldn't be a bad idea, but that would just be a lot of extra work i'M sure ( not something they would need to do right away)

and id like the marriage idea, someone you can actually somewhat build an empire with. thank god for VOIP chat too because my wife better not have a deeper voice than me.

Marriage will be a feature from what I can see, although if you want a kid it won't be through sex nor will your child be a "kid". However you can always role play as like a teen or something and be someone's "son or daughter".

If anything, sexual intercourse could exist behind closed doors without any sexual sounds in order to ensure that the game remains playable for individuals beneath the age of eighteen or nineteen. One could examine children as a "pet" to a certain degree based on the sole premise that:

1. The child shall remain within the owner's residence (household or apartment).

2. The child shall be expected to be nurtured through emotional interactions. I.E. patting his or her head, reading a book, complimenting it's hobbies etc...

3. The child shall be expected to be nurtured through financial means. I.E. food, clothing, shelter, energy, bed, books, and toys.

If anything, IN THE LEAST, children could function identical to a pet within the dwelling place of the parents rather than an AI within the streets. However, it would not be a negative idea for children AI to travel throughout the streets while remaining immune to undergoing death. Finally, the child within the dwelling place would be unavailable in-between 8:00AM and 4:00PM in order to attend the local primary or secondary educational institution that remains inaccessible to players.

Thus, players would not possess the spare time to fulfill other roles while the child is located within school.

I'm pretty sure there wont be kids getting killed on Identity, and If u have it there's gonna be alot of controversy over it. As far as sex, I would prefer not having Identity become like 2nd Life Porn. Too many of the wrong ppl will focus on such things, like running over kids with cars, and what if ppl try making kids have sex...I think they don't even wanna give those ppl a chance to get started with the derogatory YouTube Videos. Once I heard about Identity, I heard about 2nd Life as well...It took me over a half hour to find actual gameplay of 2nd Life, and not porn with a 2 1/2 foot cartoon schlong.

I'm an avid player in secondlife aswell i see where that disgust comes from all to well. so i'd have to stand by my first opinion on no ai's certainly kids. (maybe a dog you can train to defend in pvp) but i think that's as far as i'd go. they've already had their work cut out for them developing, so far adding in pointless ai's would just outsource the game for another two three, or even more years. while i'm sure there could be a good few benefits, but the goal was to stick with no ai's from the get go for many reasons. It's to be a player based game, but i'm sure they'll have some kind of add in ai's or fillers, even if they only wander in your own home.

I agree with everything you said, except this quoted part. They won't have "AI" fillers in the house or anywhere, they will stick to those select few NPC vendors but not roaming ones.

Depending on how they do death, I think having children would be really cool, but instead of them being NPC, what if they're real players? Say I get married and want to have a kid. What if me and my partner fill out a form or click a button that says we're "trying to conceive or adopt". This could then trigger an option for people who want to create a new character to be adopted or conceived. 50/50 chance for either and there'll be random side effects with either. You don't get to choose which family you end up with so it could be a homeless couple or a cartel boss or whatever. If the parents die in the game, they can decide to leave their assets to the child or teen. I can see there being many perks to starting off as a teen in this game. Even though there'd be some constraints like going to school and not being able to get into a bar without a fake ID, skill growth would be allowed.

As good as it could be, No children/ child avatars will be in this game. It is unfortunate for some but there are very good reasons for not having it in the game and well, you can have a friend RP as your 18+ (Adult) child but not as a Teen or Child avatar.

No children! God save the children! lol. I don't want any creepy, sociopathic, transage, sexual predators online. Marriage is ok to be included in the game. No NPC's except for having an NPC pilot flying airliners to a far away island in a future DLC.

Why not kids? because there are maniac, pedophiles, that means the kids will be not in the game? there are people who hate police and like to fight them that means police will not be in the game? that logic... if you want a realistic game all the ages should be in. trust me these sick people doing bad things to the kids in real life not in the game..

There are some sacrifices better made for other great mechanics. Kids are not needed in the game. Yes they could add a lot to the game but we cannot have everything.
