  1. 1. How long do you think it will take the "Steam Verification Process" to go through once the team finishes Town Square?

The Asylum team has mentioned on stream about a "Steam Verification Process". This is when Steam looks to make sure the game being published isn't harmful. I wondered how long this would take...

I took a look at what steamgames.com says and they say it takes anywhere from 1-5 days.

So there you have it for anyone who wanted to know.

EDIT: Wow, I'm really surprised by all the votes! Considering the facts, the fans still think otherwise about the time it will take. I also feel the same about the situation, considering the time it's taken to develop the game.

At the time of this edit, the current percentage out of 69 votes was:

Less than one week - 38.03%

More than one week - 61.97%

there are certain processes that go through the game, which i can not tell you exactly. but 1-2 weeks, it certainly takes.

if they send today or tomorrow to steam, maybe Town Sqaure comes at 01.07 ... but i think, they have already contact to steam :P

Steam will still need to verify it, the 1-5 days is indeed correct.

most definitely less time then it would take for them to get  credit cards set up on their new website.

Taken from Steam:

  1. "Before your store page or game build can go live, there is a brief review process where we run your game, look at your store page, and check that it is configured correctly and running as expected and not doing anything harmful. This takes between 1-5 days."

Considering how much trash Steam publishes these days, it is about right that it shouldn't take long at all

Everything is legal for steam now.  Porn games, school shooting sims etc.
