I know that you will be able to elect a governor on the servers, so i have been wondering how the bodyguards will work. Do you guys think the bodyguards should, or will have special abilities like being able to manipulate the VIP in dangerous situations and maybe grab them and push them into the back of a safe car? What other abilities should bodyguards have to keep their VIP safe?

They should be able to shield the VIP and use their other arm as sort of a way to push people out of the way while yelling, "PROTECT THE PRESIDENT MOVE MOVE MOVE!"

Fantastic idea, maybe as addition, moving their body in front of the president as say a protection to the presidents line of fire, 7 guys and you're going down a hallway for say- and then a group of 17 miltia come for him and one of you has got to make sure the president is safe from bullets.

That way there's not two dudes side by side in front of the president and then the pres takes one to the head.

I cant wait to see how a bodyguard system will be implemented in identity and the special abilities and animations bodyguards will have.

I was thinking sort of like how you can drag wounded teammates in Rainbow Six: Siege, sort of like that kind of game mechanic, except I am not sure how that could be implemented. I mean, would the person being defended / moved have to confirm consent? Or would they just be moved at the bodyguard's command? This can also be abused as well, if there is no consent. The only issue, is that if an assassin comes around the corner of a hallway and is about to shoot a VIP, then the consent may not go through in time to save the individual.

Perhaps any recent gunshots provoke this action as you can't move or direct them unless a bullet has been shot, declaring a safety need?

Or maybe they will toggle a consent move when they aren't in safety- just protect the pres and don't break the rules otherwise it's illegal? Idk..

Perhaps we can only trust our fellow players not to be tha undercover fradulent body guard tryna make it rich in the boonies.

Gunshots add a buff and so does a gun in proximity though the notification shouldn't be visible, the buff- being that you can alter the pres movements 100% As if you are him.

Player controls over ridden.

The president needs a primary spot tho, like in the reticle or to the side? That way the guard is actually covering him.

A free police escort around the map would be cool. Even a helicopter with a sniper on the side would be cool to stop assassinations.

So many possibilities for bodyguards, and not even just ones for say the Governor, if someone hires you as a bodyguard, you get some of those abilities.

This is a great idea; there will be no way it can not be added, even if they didn't add it in the job system players will be doing it through roleplay!

This would be cool if it was say only for the Governor, so when you see a big convoy, you know it's the governor.

A dive option like in black ops but instead of to the ground jump to the side or in front of someone.

This is cool, but highly unlikely to be added because they can't add 100 small details for every single aspect of the game.

If you can go prone it wouldn't be to hard to make the one out of black ops, then with the other suggestions here you could use it to tackle someone
