Political Analysts

Recommended Posts

The Podium heavily requires a political analysis that conducts an OBJECTIVE summary on each and every active party within the "Podium" section of the forums in order to present potential voters with a GENERAL IDEA (rather than an extremely in-depth analysis) of each and every political party.

The average voter is not willing to analyze pages of information on each party. However, a summarized analysis alongside with a political compass could attract the attention of potential voters.

The political analyst would analyze the characteristics of each party, including it's representatives, beyond mere statistical votes considering that it would involve applying the political compass to each party. Who is willing to produce a political compass of each party, alongside with a summarized analysis of each active party?

I second this request.

An analyst is vital to politics and Identity is missing that person.

Great idea Damian,

Kind regards,

Marie-Clare Bouchard.

Around late December I began speaking with someone that has been doing this exactly, he's says he wants to have all his pieces together before he releases his thoughts publicly.

Is the individual willing to produce a political compass that displays each and every active party's position within the political compass during this analysis?

As far as I’m aware!

Sounds like a fantastic idea, @DLimit / Damien!

I would love to know if you find someone up to the task.

Best Regards,

Brian Hamilton

Sounds like something the IPO should be doing! :P  @NanoSpace @Identity_Party_Org

It could be capable of fulfilling such a task as long as it is dedicated towards strategically analyzing each and every single aspect of a political party prior to concluding their location along the political compass, alongside with producing a detailed yet brief summary of each political party.

I think the easiest thing would be if you made a questionnaire and got all parties to respond :-)

This could be done by anyone, this isn’t limited to people already involved in politics. Even you could do it!

I’d love to see this happen very soon. And es, I think that those not involed in politics could do a great job at it. @Sasper maybe you should consider doing it?

Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but why would you want to limit it to people who are already involved in Identitys parties, @LuciousTimes ?

@FrancePourLaVie I might give it a go if I get time in the nearest future xD

Who else would be analyzed?

The subject that is conducting the surveys, interviews, and reports should NOT be a member or an affiliate of ANY political party in order to ensure that the data remains unbiased.

Great idea! I think what could also be beneficial is it may find some parties that have similar or exact same goals in mind, they can either join together or something of that nature to avoid an abundance of parties with only three main views in mind throughout all the parties. This could assist the voters in their decision along with the ability to not feel the need to look through 15 or even 20 party's policies and goals.

It would be interesting for the parties with the identical ideology to merge into one major party. However, these divisions arise considering that minor differences in policy, alongside with organizational practices, are perceived to be a major threat to each party's ideology. I.E. The People's Revolutionary Party's "Mass-Line" and direct-democratic approach towards enacting policies is deemed to be "too libertarian" for the average Authoritarian socialist government while the P.R.P. classifies other parties as too "capitalist-reformist" or "revisionist" to be associated with their party.

These minor differences are larger than one could presume, which is why it would be much more beneficial for the political analyst to mention these KEY DIFFERENCES between the "similar parties".

I agree completely, I was just stating that parties with identical ideologies that do not have the attributions against the political beliefs of other identical parties would be merged. I.E the analyst would show the generalised goal of two parties which happen to be the same and it is also found that both parties are liberal or whatever they are, therefore those two parties will be encouraged to merge under agreed terms which benefits the merging party (the one joining the other) or both parties could remove their own parties and reform together as one major party. In summary, obviously parties with the differences you mentioned above will not be merged, but the ones that don't possess those differences or others will be merged to avoid any duplication or confusion during voting.

Any updates on the political analyst's research and potential disclosure of their findings?

I believe politics won't be a big deal in Identity.

Though a last addition to the game, the government system will be important!

I love that idea, even though I don't have any interests for politics. Also, as far as I know, the Governor doesn't have a super big role in this game. But he sure will have an impact on taxes, and probably a few other aspects. I'd love to have an unbiased summary of candidates.
