  1. Suggestion about VOIP in RP

Hello everyone, I apologize for writing in English ... Well, my idea would be that the Voip of the game was constant, there was no option to press to speak, because being a role play RP is necessary for players not to do Metagaming (use another form of communication to take advantage Of situations within the game such as warning you that you are being robbed so your friends will come to help you). I think, that being a RP is necessary an immersion of the players and of course a way to try to stop those who are only for PVP for example, what spoils the RP of the others and I see in this question of VOIP one of the ways to try to stop , At least Metagaming. Of course many who play this game thought that it is a pvp game will end up seeing that in reality it is an RP, and developed to be a RP which helps a lot already in eliminating PVP players as soon as it launches. However, there are always RP players who like to perform Metagaming and end up spoiling the game of others. Good just a suggestion .....
  2. A day in the life: Mike Jackson

6:15 am- Alarm goes off. I slowly open my eyes and sit up on my bed. The brittle early morning sun is peeking through my curtains. I stretch out my arms and yawn. I draw the curtains and make my bed swiftly. I hop into the shower and get dressed. Today i am choosing to wear my simple black jeans, Harley Davidson t-shirt and my River Island Leather jacket. 6:45 am- i jog down the stairs into the kitchen where i grab my favorite cereal out of the cupboard and a carton of milk out of the fridge. Mix them both in a small bowl and enjoy. As that didn't satisfy my hunger i get two slices of bread and made toast with strawberry jam as my spread. 7:10 am- I brush my teeth and comb my hair one last time. I'd put on my a pair of Chuck Taylor All stars and fetch my car keys. i would grab my work bag and give the house a quick scan on my way out. I walk toward my manual navy blue Chevrolet Colorado Pick-up and start the engine, put her in reverse and back onto the street. First gear is engaged and off to home depot! 7:25 am- Currently just got onto the freeway going west on I76 at about 70 mph. Home depot is 25 minutes away, ETA 7:50. 7:52 am- I pull into the employees parking lot at home depot and walk in. I exchange greetings with co-workers and head to the briefing room. My boss and 5 other drivers are already in and chatting. We discuss the deliveries that have to be made today and their exact details. Time, load type, weight, destination...etc. 8:10 am- I do a pre-trip around my truck, No.004, and inspect every element, gauge and trailer condition. {BTW we haul 53 footers] 8.15 am- I start the Cummins X15 670 hp, 2500 nm of torque engine in my Peterbilt , turn on my marker lights plus primary lights and pull out of the yard to pick up my first load, farm produce in the south of the island. Its a 30 minute drive from home depot. 8:47 am- I arrive on the farm and back into the loading area. I meat tthe owner and have a quick chat before i go and help load the trailer up. 8.59 am- a few minutes later, we've loaded the trailer about 22%, i lock the trailer doors, get into the cab, put the truck in gear and honked goodbye. It will be a 35 minute drive to the next pick up point in the south south west mountain region. 9:37 am- I arrive at the the second pick up point which is at a garment factory. There we fill another 37% with clothes to be taken to the east of the island. Now to the last pick up point just around the corner from the garment factory is a brewery where the remaining 41% of the trailer was filled with can of beer. Now to haul a fully loaded 53 foot trailer totaling 45500 lbs. Its now a 2hr 20 min drive to the main city . I join the freeway and set cruise control for 55 mph and enjoy the drive. Thick, grey clouds have started gathering 12:05 pm- I arrive in the main city from the south with some light traffic but heavy rain. The drop-off will be in tight spaces so i have to be extremely cautious. i make a total of 3 stops in the city. I leave the city with an empty trailer and go do a trailer swap with another fellow driver. 12:35 pm- I pull into a truck stop to buy myself by lunch. Fresh take away for today. With a Sprite and Salt and Vinegar chips to last a while. 12:52 pm- I leave the truck stop and head to my last drop off before i return to depot for a shift swap. 01:30 pm- I pull into the truck parking at home depot and back into a space alongside other drivers. I walk into the depot and register my hours on the road and i hand the keys over to another driver. I am now assigned paper work for the rest of the day until 04:45 pm. Its tedious work but i had breaks to chat and socialize with co-workers. 04:50 pm- I log-off from my work PC, grab my bag and walk out to my pick-up and drive home to some classical music. 05:12 pm- i pull into my drive way, shut the car off and get inside. I get my shoes off, hand my jacket up and toss my bag onto the couch. I grab a beer and turn the TV on and enjoy my favorite show, Top Gear. 05:50 pm- I go upstairs and get myself a hot shower. 06:15 pm- I come downstairs to make myself some dinner. Rice, vegetables and fried meatballs with Gravy. Sooooo good! As i eat i watch the news and text co-workers/friends. 07: 30 pm- I clear my plates and wash the dishes. 08:00 pm- I walk into my bedroom and tuck myself in, ready for another day with DLI! @Rick_Anderson , @Motown,@Siren
  3. Hi guys I am New to Identity just pledged this past weekend, (got my little apartment and garage I wasn't referred here by anyone I just randomly found it on the web looking at new games coming out in 2017. I been reading all I could find out about it the past few days. I am really like'ing what I am seeing. Its a shame there in not more marking for it but I understand with this type of crowd funding that the devs spent most of their time an money into making the game and not advertising . That's where we the fans come it. ) Another great game I been following for some time now is Star Citizen , if ya not familiar with it here is a link https://robertsspaceindustries.com/ . If I had to explain it to someone with out taking 3 hours to tell you all that's in it now and all that's coming out in it, I would say this. Star Citizen is Arma meets Wing Commander that had a baby that was really into Firefly and Star Trek . Like Identity there are no classes, but there are tons of careers and jobs you can do. You can be a fighter pilot, a Space trucker hauling cargo, ship engineer repairing ships, space miner on planets or out in asteroid fields, salvager of ship wrecks, medics, space marine, PIRATE!!! there are many more things you can do, the list just goes on and on. Here is a little Demo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuDj5v81Nd0 Even though the game is completely different then Identity there are a lot of similarity's with the 2 game development that I really like. They both are developing modules and we get to play them as soon as they are ready so we can give feed back as the game is still being made. For Example, Identity is coming out soon with the town hall module. Currently if you Pledge to Star Citizen with a starter pack for $45 bucks (smallest package) you get immediate access to their current modules which include. Some peoples out there may say , "Oh I heard of that game you have to spent 1000's of dollars to get a ship" NO YOU DO NOT!!! All you need is a 45 dollar starter package (there are a bunch you can chose from just like Identity ) every thing else can be bought in game with in game money, its not PAY TO WIN, if you have spare cash and want to support the game and buy a 500 dollar ship (like you can buy a luxury apartment in Identity ) you can, but you don't have to. I bought many ships cause I really love the game , I want to support them and I was lucky to have the funds. But all these ships mean nothing unless you have friends to crew them with you, the ships don't fly themselves! Modules you can pay right now in SC Arena Commander - Its a Dog fighting sim where you get right into the action vs NPC's or Player vs Player action with no risk of permeant loss to you or your ships. Star Marine - This is a FPS they have built where Marines VS Pirates Player vs Player death match / zone capture type game play. PTU- This is the real meat on the bone. PTU stands for Persistent Test Universe , this is a very small version of what the final MMO will be like. You get to take off from a space station and fly around a down sized solar system, you can fight npcs or other players you come across or work together and complete goals or just go explore. There will also be a stand alone single player SC game called, Squadron 42. With stars like Mark Hamilton (luke skywalker, as if I had to tell you) and Gary Oldman as charters in the game. (you can buy a 60 dollar starter pack that has Star Citizen and Squadron 42 in a bundle , that's only 15 bucks for sq 42, ) One great thing that SC is doing now (and has being doing, hence how I got in) is a referral program. I would love to see Identity do this too to help get the word out. How it works in Star Citizen is every pledged account gets a unique referral code, you give this code out to peeps you want to join the game. If those people do infact use the code when they buy the game (starter pack) then you the person who gave them the code gets 5k in game money (when the game goes live) and SO does the new person who used your code. What's great is that it rewards the person for promoting the game with out costing the dev team any money or time. Its a win win for everyone. Now 5k in SC is not a lot of money, but you get 5 -10 of your buddies in and it starts to add up, If you really go nuts recruiting peeps they give you even more in game goodies . Then those 5-10 get their code out to and it snow balls. SC currently has well over 1.5 million registered players and it keeps getting bigger. Well I hope to see you guys and gals here in Identity Or in Star Citizen , I will be playing both. If you have a friend that already plays Star Citizen and you want to get in it, ask them for their Referral code, so you both get some rewards for spreading the word. and if you don't know anyone feel free to use mine below. Drop me a line if ya stop by, I will show you around. Kamikaze_DaMutt referral code- STAR-MG6Z-QGCQ <--- just copy and past when you sign up. Than drop me a line and I will give you a tour / ( may make you carry stuff for me, cause you know free labor )
  4. Vehicular Variety

Hi!! In the trailer I saw a Dodge Charger with amazing detail, what different kinds of cars will be in the game? Will the cars appearances change because of which department you were hired at? Example: If you get hired at the Sheriffs department your car will say Police, Sheriff, etc. and you can go all throughout the county. But if you are city police your car says (City name) Police, and such. I can see you put a lot of time and effort into this game and I can tell it should become as popular as GTA with a few years. Thank you!!
  5. So my question is, how will we/you/us role play? Personally I have always text role played, even in Second Life everyone, in a character setting, role plays using text. Usually with paragraphs of detail. Will that be the community standard in game? Will we instead use voice and rely on the animations and emotes of our avatars/characters for other people to see and react to? What are you thoughts?
