  5. I dont know exactly what it is, but what i heared, it´s a shield from any damage when you havent done any crime. That means only criminals are affected, which i find unbalanced. My solution would be to delete the whole stress system, since it takes out all value of real life and freedom. Make everyone eat the same amount of bullets, but police ofc more since theyve got vests and stuff. If you say it´s for RDM, no it´s not. It may be, but it also takes out ones freedom in this game. A better solution would be to raise the maximum jail time one criminal can be given, when caught from the police. It scales on your wanted level, how much crime youve done without getting catched. Also make the wanted level dont go away at all (or maybe after 1 week), since youre a criminal. But make it that you can enter your own buildings while criminal.
  6. Premise 1 - Allow players to own shops: Allow players to purchase or lease commercial real estate. Players will control every aspect of their store front, but day to day sales will still be operated by NPC's: What is sold and at what price, including maintaining inventory. Store name and logo, and advertising campaigns (TV, billboards, benches, etc...) Insurance options (assuming shops can be robbed and/or damaged) and security upgrade options (cameras, alarms, etc...). Layout of merchandise displays and interior decorating. Premise 2 - Shops are taxed or extorted depending on their location and status of gang controlled territory: Allow players to setup their shops in peaceful areas or gang controlled areas. There exist pros/cons of location choice. If a player's shop resides within a gang controlled area, it will be automatically taxed through extortion, at rates selected by the controlling gang, with the controlling gang receiving a percentage of profits. Additionally, the government will receive no taxes; however, the shop will need no security upgrades as it cannot be robbed due to implied gang protection, though it is more likely to get damaged due to gang warfare. It will also be able to sell illegal items. If a player's shop resides within a peaceful area, it will be automatically taxed through regular government taxation at rates selected by the controlling government, again, a percentage of profits. The shop can be robbed and cannot sell illegal items. Main Takeaways Owning a shop would be a major milestone for citizens to work towards and the ability to earn money while offline could be intriguing to players. Having to maintain an inventory would be a major hook to come back to the game on the regular. The potential to really customize one's business would be immense, including setting up distribution and supplier networks; warehouses and trucking for a purpose. Allowing players to choose to risk setting up their shops in gang controlled areas for the benefits could make game play richer and motivation of controlling gang territory more meaningful. Gangs would be motivated to control certain areas where potential income is higher, and develop their own networks with players of both legal and illegal merchandise distribution. The controlling government would be motivated to squash gang areas with more investment in police, due to lost tax income. Sorry, this was kind of rushed, but I'd be glad to clarify on any of the aspects of the idea!
  7. you guys should expand on gang territory by making urban areas of the map up for claim and ways to claim should include spray painting buildings, driving down the street in a low rider with your gangs music playing on loud speakers so all the other gangs will hear it and gun battles might happen. Rewards for claiming gang territory should be a racketeering price from local businesses. The police department should also be able to take back these territory by erasing graffiti and arresting people trying to claim territory. but thats just my opinion tell me what you guys think

    I remember hearing a while back from the developers that prison would be more than just a place that you go to when you break a law. It'll be a thriving society. if that's the case, what features will be added to prisons? Will there be commissary for prisoners, will prisoners be able to get visits from friends or whomever, will you be able to sell contraband within prisons....... will you be able to break out? These are only a few of the many questions I have about the prison system.

    My idea for this game is to implement some realistic gang programming. Where you can throw up gang signs (Maybe make your own gang sign?), Gang Tags (Make your own gang graffiti?) ,Shake hands with gang members, get gang tattoos, customize low riders, actual gang clothes of South central LA area (Crips, bloods, Surenos (Mexican gang) ) This will not only make the game more realistic but good for gang fights. Implement a system for gang members to sell drugs. Implement a drivebuy system. This isn't hard to put in the game as there small but great features that would make the gang side more realistic. Make is so when you walk in the hood its like real life and you know your in the wrong territory and your bound to get hit up and you know your in a dangerous place.

  21. bike variation ideas

    Over the past year or so I've been on this forum, I've seen so many people interested in bikes, biker culture ect that you see with a lot of games but sadly with a lot of games, developers don't seem to focus as much on the bike side (more seen focusing on fast expensive cars) that also have their appeal and maybe even the majority of people prefer those but I'm speaking for those of us who would much rather have a bike over a car in the game. I'm making this to try help show the developers that there are many people who would love more bike options in the game because I am worried that this game will leave those people behind and I'd like to have everyone show the types of bikes they would like to see instead of what people think we want (usually looking like cheap Japanese looking bikes that you see in real life) I genuinely think that the gta v biker dlc added some actual nice looking bikes compared to the ones in it before that can be made to look pretty bad ass and I'd love to see that standard in identity. so post your dream bikes, no matter what style! (gta v zombie bobber)

    I was wondering how gangs could be handled in the game. I know about the gang wars and such but what I was really wondering about is some of the more extremist gangs such as neo-Nazis and the Cartel. What I want to know about these gangs is how they would be handled in the confines of the game, like will the neo-Nazis have marches and hurt people and will the Cartel abduct people and try to get secrets out of them? Anyone feel free to talk about how this could/has been implemented into the game. Thanks
  23. Identity (or to be more exact the idea of Identity) wants to change what an mmo is, a grand gesture indeed. In reality however most of these changes are going to have to come from the players themselves, sure Asylum can present their 'vision', they can provide the tools, but it's how those tools are used that will, ultimately, make or break Identity. Crime & the criminal are going to play a large part in that. So what makes a successful criminal? Simple....not getting caught. Now most of us think that is a fairly obvious statement, but when you consider it in terms of online 'games', it really isn't. In fact, in most 'life' sims the average criminal, more often than not, will go out of his way to bring about some kind of conflict with law enforcement. If anyone hopes to build a server that caters to ALL walks of life, then this is going to be one of the most difficult problems to solve. Because there is another very simple statement that is also true, having to duck bullets & avoid being mown down on the sidewalk every thirty seconds, drives 'community' players away. Go from one extreme to another, look at the toxic world of GTA Online where you can't even manage to get through three words without someone throwing a bomb, then consider what Identity 'could' be. Criminals live ordinary lives too, they co-exist with the rest of the community, they go shopping with their wives, go to clubs, bars....they even bathe! Think about it, IF (and yes that's a big if) you stick to one server, once you've been arrested the police are going to know you. For example....Herzog is only the President of a Motorcycle club....until he, or one of his club, get arrested for gun running.....then, in the eyes of the police, he's the leader of an organized crime gang. What all of this means, for the potential criminals of Identity, is that if they attempt to live their lives of crime OFF the police radar....then Identity has the potential to be a real game changer. If not, then we're looking at GTA with frills. It's the players who will make Identity great, you. Think outside the box, be the best.

    Hello Everyone/Devs, So, I know the game will have Police, and Gangs. In the overview there is something said about Gangs declaring war on each other and certain PVP locations. I'm just wondering what will be in place to stop the world from going to chaos and you being shot, killed, robbed, kidnapped, or ran over by vehicles all day? I know on some Life games as well the criminals will wait for there to be few Police on the server and such. Will there be something to keep peace in the normal areas, or will this all be based on if there is police on? I know there may not be answers yet for these questions, but I just wonder about how it will run based on pass experience from life games/mods. How will Identity deal with this? Thanks for your time.
