The only thing changed by an officer not reading out the rights, is that nothing you say can be used as evidence against you in trial. However it can be spun to show the officers lack of training and misconduct, which can be used in the defendants favor, since it will lessen the confidence in the cops work. The exact outcome on such a situation is hard to determine from the given info, as there are lots of factors, but the act of not reading the rights alone won't dismiss the validity of a case. The only affect it has by law is that the cop can't use statements from the subject as evidence, and can't use any evidence obtained through the information gotten by the subject.
