  1. Remember this video

Large amount of concurrent players, objects and high level detail for fps don't mix well without optimization and accurate update across the points. Single instances can be run like this without too many problems, but when everything is being loaded at the same time that's going to slow fps and overload the database from multiple requests and connections. That or they might implement the other stuff later more efficiently when they've scaled their systems appropriately. The code for placement and collision detection might be wonky on surfaces maybe there is an invisible box around the items that makes it not stick to walls properly. To run something like this big at a bigger scale more efficiently people sometimes cut down on high detail. Now imagine streaming from outside sources and rendering it onto the mmorpg it'll probably contribute to lag. Other than that, the coding might've needed fixing in the first place, but they seem to be working on the bugs.
  2. Totally off topic, relationship topic, personal and venting

This post is a little late. The abuse that happened to you isn't your fault it's the people responsible for the abuse. Don't be afraid to tell somebody that you can trust what you're going through and don't be afraid to get help because there is probably someone in your real life that truly does care about you and there's people that do care about your situation even if they might not know you personally. If he's a good father then he'd give up the negative addictions he has for the sake of his son, but he hasn't. If he got clean then there might be chance for him to change but right now if he's being an abusive ******** under the influence of something that made him that way, it is time to let go and direct him to the next rehab center, because someone like you shouldn't have to put up with abuse and put up with risk to your personal and son's safety and future. Don't let other people determine your self worth and translate the love you exude towards other people such as your son and self sustainability, independence, and survival. When you stop caring about what the unreasonable negative people in your life think and say about you, you'll be free when you focus on your own life and the life of your son, but still not closing yourself off to people in your life that really do care about you and that matter and are probably willing to help you and there are ways to get on your feet and start again with resources if you look for it. Decent and real people that can understand your situation and what you're going through won't judge you and will not say anything negative about you relating to your situation. Those people that don't understand? **** them. There's real people and yourself that you can count on to pull through and there's nothing those people can say about you that will change the kind of person you are because that's all in your control, but remember that none of the abuse you're going through and the abuse that happened in your past is your fault. The real people in your life will not turn their backs on you when you need it the most they're there for you through thick and thin, although they might not always agree with you all the time, real people would have your best interest at heart instead of being a negative prescence in your life.
  3. Their listed lead programmer on LinkedIn apparently graduated in Software Engineering with honors in Business Management in 2014.
  4. Game is out!

That name and speech patterns feels like trolling already. : P
  5. I'm sure it's just a coincidence but it's just that the voice through text mannerism and speechpattern that YandareDev, the developer of the game YandareSimulator has.
  6. Town Square Therapy Anonymous

The devs are now a company and they're liable for the products that are promised including the package that they had on their store to fund themselves for the project. It's a promissory note to pay back the loaners in the future. It might not be recuperated now but it can recuperated in the future if they continue to work on it instead of abandoning the idea and slapping the faces of people and leaving their investment out to dry that have supported them through this even after four years. Simply expecting the devs not to do anything to take responsibility ie. keep working on their game to fulfill what they set out to do and do it better after mishaps, is not going to motivate them to do what needs to be done and what can be accomplished with respect to reality and outside factors. It is expected to be risky to give money based on an idea, but the devs have clearly advertised promised items and an eventual game. Disappointment when that vision isn't actualized either in time or game is expected, but that vision can come true and be actualized through perseverance.
  7. First off, let's all calm down and take deep breaths. Now, tell me how you are all feeling and we can go through Town Square Therapy and create a shining future on this soil of a growing seed and sail the cosmos together with the earth as my vessel!1! Sprout off memes because you can and cheer up from the humor! Then cast a massive heal overtime to stop Meteor! Here we shall voice our dissatisfaction as people who paid for a product and have not yet recouperated because of a lack of refunds, but should the promised items not come to fruition what exactly is it that we want? Then we will post constructive criticism to help them fix all the bugs in the game like a plumber or construction worker with a hammer that can fix things! Will you go on this spiritual adventure with me? Say yes fellow patients!
  8. You really remind me of another videogame developer in spoken speech pattern for some reason.
  9. LOL

I never spent anything more than 40 dollars on this game and I am sure I will eventually recuperate the value with a heal over time. It's just not going to be now. This is really only the first module and a beta that's newly been released which will probably ieterate through changes even if it might be months to years. If people can't get a refund, they really should take responsibility and keep rolling with the game to complete it to satisfactory levels rather than get money from other people while not working on their product at all and then drop the game that they promised. I see what you did there pip.
  10. I oddly liked Turok though a The only dinosaur games I liked were Turok and Dino Crisis because of either the single player or story immersion.
  11. Ark is a fundementaly good game but dinosaur gameplay isn't necessarily for everyone.
  12. Ark turned out to be good. If I remember, they had issues at launch too but they probably had the experience and training to deal with programming structure and design at a more in depth level, though I do not know much about Ark it is a popular game and polished enough to release judging from the videos of people playing it.
  13. I find humor in occurrences where I probably shouldn't like the fact that the window is still titled ShooterGame on release, but I do respect other people for putting effort into making something that they're passionate about and attempting to at least improve enough to deliver what they'll eventually promise in the future. For me functionality > advanced graphics. I'm one of those nostalgic players that prefers dated graphics over super realistically rendered graphics. Decent graphics are enough for me and there is a style that's almost unique and appealing to niche categories. Games don't have to be realistic looking it could just be appealing stylistically with a focus on either characters, stories, community, or gameplay.
  14. They seems to have a bit of issue resource and time management and handling customer service and constructive criticism but it is their game creation, and getting their code together for structure optimization, server, database, rendering, then there's the security input issues, coming from ArmaA modding to full programming for a customized game with unreal engine is tough, all has to work and play off eachother to run a cohesive program, but all people can do after a mishap is take responsibility, move on, learn, and fix the mistakes, because I'd rather they improved than fail seeing as I bought their game. Games are a business but while it good to have passion about something gotta consider a balance between staying afloat and accomplishing purpose.
  15. I'd at least like it to be a runnable glorified chat room simulator, but I will have to wait till they fix the runnable and security hole problems which I wouldn't mind. People come and go really that's the nature of business, but surviving as a business takes perseverance and hardwork to deliver good customer service and management.
