  1. GAMEPLAY

I hope it goes to 99%. Just for the feels
  2. GAMEPLAY

    The clickbait is strong.
  3. Tom Hagen (not Saul Goodman that I'm sure many will be inspired by )
  4. Blinkers

I guess I'll be grabbing my briefcase and heading down to the courthouse to get rid of these upcoming, ridiculous tickets/pull overs
  5. Worth Backing?

Only you can answer that my friend. It would be safer to keep your money and wait for more gameplay/features to be released so you know it's the game you want. Then again, buying in now assures you early access and possible items that would benefit your experience if you do end up liking the game. It's $30 to get the modules, beta access and full game or only $15 for the full game. Is $30 worth playing the game in it's early forms or would you rather just pay the $15 and then watch Let's Plays of those modules and beta? I can almost assure you that the game will be more then $15 upon release (and possibly go up in price after Town Square) so you might just want to buy in now which may save you money later.
  6. Corruption ?

Unless they accept the bribe only after they go off-duty. Obviously no cop would trust a lonely thief but a mafia family / drug family, they could easily pay cops while they're off-duty. So that system would help but not come close to defeating the issue of corruption.
  7. Corruption ?

I'm still a little hazy on how a "corrupt" cop is discovered. If a cop pulls over someone who ran a street light and that said person gives the cop $20 to look the other way, how would anyone know (admins, etc.) that that happened? If a cop has a secret meeting with a mobster so that he doesn't go a certain route while a store is being robbed, how would anyone know? Sure there's obvious events that would make a cop look corrupt but there's also so much small/secret ways of doing so. I understand it being a general rule (obviously, police force) but I don't see how it'll be enforced. We don't want a Gotham on our hands obviously.... unless they allow Batman to be added in. Then that's fine. Basically, just how. The devs say corruption isn't allowed but corruption is such a broad term, I don't know exactly what they mean.
  8. Is the Voice Chat Toxic?

Throw the buggers in Solitary Confinement. Their voices won't be heard that way. It's legal, trust me, I'm a lawyer
  9. Grimson Law Firm LLC.

Yes, that's very true and again, real-life companies and such use in-house lawyers all the time. I just mean that to a jury (especially in a game where the jury doesn't really have to do what is right), an in-house lawyer could just be seen as corrupt and thus they automatically think he/she is guilty. Again, they should "only" consider the evidence but this is a game after all so... who knows. I'm sure some companies will have their own lawyers and others will hire outside, whatever they think is best
  10. Grimson Law Firm LLC.

Perhaps conflict of interest according to the jury, an in-house lawyer could be seen as easily influenced (in one way or another) as he's apart of the company/organization. Though obviously the jury should only consider the evidence as is the case in RL situations (companies have in-house lawyers all the time). But personally, I hope to represent a number of individual civilians along with companies/organization. Again, it's so difficult to really tell how any of this will work until we get more info from the devs. I'm still waiting just to see if US Federal laws apply
  11. Grimson Law Firm LLC.

Well... that escalated quickly. But yes, this is just a business plan, not a RP thread from what I can see. Thanks for the read! Yes, it'll be interesting how everything works out. Obviously no one knows exactly how lawyers will work in-game but I'm slowly trying to "investigate" how it'll work. I so far have made some contacts though so good start! And yes, money is where the heart is
  12. Question concerning the Judicial system of the game. While I'm aware that the Governor will create laws, I'm wondering if current federal laws will be enforced? Identity is in the United States so I'm assuming they would but can't seem to find any info on it (please link me to the right direction if I missed it). I'm assuming no one wants to get into the deep stuff (that's beyond RP potential) but using documents like the Constitution and so forth. Thanks.
  13. Grimson Law Firm LLC.

Welcome to Grimson Law Firm LLC. Offering legal service for all citizens in Identity. History: Originally established in 2003 and founded by Atrus R. Grimson, Grimson Law Firm has called many cities home throughout the years. After graduating Harvard Law School, Mr. Huz set out to open Grimson with a colleague of his, Saavedro T. 14. Greetings

Thanks for the link! I would say the escape. I run a film business which keeps me going most of the week. Traditional MMO's don't do it for me anymore (not sure why, the grind maybe, don't have time for that) so a game like Identity is appealing. I've always loved RPing and so a dedicated game to just that is great. I played Second Life back in the day so this is bringing back some nostalgia .
  15. Greetings

Hey Community, I just recently found out about Identity and have spent the last few hours researching. Finally created my account and so here I am. Looking forward to seeking out career opportunities and taking breaks from the stresses of real life to get stresses of this fake life . Was a player of Second Life back in the day (guess it's still around?) so this is bringing back some old memories. Hope to see everyone around! - Saavedro
