I think everyone is in agreement that devs could/should do a monthly blog update. Surely that's all that needs to be said instead of paragraph after paragraph discussing the same points. @DJ-Bobby-Vee - kinda showing your age in your last comment man, chill out. People are always going to clash in a Community but let's keep it civil huh?

Really childish posts here, not so weird for people wanting to have updates, makes you feel more connected to the game and the whole process what I believe is a part of being a backer. The devs are almost always giving answers to questions, maybe better them and us to answer a lot of those questions weekly or monthly in a update? So every week or month you have some news about the game, and questions being answered in general to all of us. Other part people who are complaining also need to understand is that this developer team is pretty small. I do agree partly with Crystella if you want investors / backers updates are key to attract them.

You guys aren't getting any points defending the devs. I understand a lot of these guys are blowing this out of proportion but you guys, saying its ok for the devs to not update the devlog, are just buying them time. There is no poll asking if the supporters want more news so you can't just tell people what they are supposed to think. I honestly lost interest in the game for the better part of a month, but there is no excuse for not posting a list of projects currently being worked on. Even if its just something small to give supporters an idea of what is being worked on.

Hello I would just like to ask something and hope to get an answer not just from MC leaders but from other criminal organisations aswell. Okay so before I start I will quickly state some facts so it all sounds a bit more reasonable. IRL to start an MC the leader of the new MC must first contact the lead MC in the area for permission. So for example if I wanted to start an MC I would have to contact the hells angels which is the local lead MC for permission to create the MC. So my question to you all is would anyone approve or oppose The Bad Company Rangers being the lead MC of Identity? What I mean by this is that my role as the lead MC would be to approve or deny new MCs that want to start up. Much like how the roseport pirates are doing investigations into government bodies and how Aegis security used to approve and deny new companies on the old forums. Now by approve I mean let them create their MC and all is good. By deny I do not mean to stop them from creating an MC as a whole but when a new MC is created, me as the lead MC, will look over it and if I deny it I by no means mean no but to improve their work before trying again. This will hopefully introduce more professionally made MCs for everyone to enjoy. As lead MC I will also organise meetings between all the presidents of the MCs and discuss concerns and problems of the club. All of this will vastly improve immersion of the game even before it is out but mainly the idea is start getting more professional MCs in Identity. So as I already stated above I would like to know if anyone agrees or disagrees with my idea for BCR MC to become the lead MC. thank you all for reading and if you have any suggestions or ideas then please post them. P.S this was done on my phone so sorry for any mistakes. Herzog

I've been following this game for over a year now. They haven't gotten anywhere (other then about 2 dozen player models and clothing) The post under mine, a person was saying how the gameplay video/trailer hasn't come out yet! When they first said "We're gonna be making a gameplay video!" I was hyped, now this seems like BS. Now I'm not one of those people on the forums saying "the game is fake" but the game won't be released by early 2017. It'll most likely be released late 2017 or even early 2018. So I don't think their working on this game as hard as they said they were. Their most likely working on their Arma 3 mod more then the video game.

Regardless of the situation, it doesn't really help anyone to create multiple threads of the same subject. It's redundant. And if you don't want to waste your time here, then don't. Nobody is forcing you to be here.

Little extreme to say people are trying to rebel other members to the devs... I am not complaining but I can understand some of the people here who do. To each there own voice and opinion, don't be so harsh to against another opinion.
  16. 1 point
But it isnt the job of the people who are funding your game to make the updates
  17. 1 point
If they expect support they should listen to the people who made this possible. The money is coming from the people you are arguing with. If the backers weren't here there would be no fourm. There is no need to try and be a savage to people who are asking from something that is very reasonable.

If you're not satisfied with the developers work/communication, feel free to request a refund and be on your way. The rest of us will continue supporting the game while keeping ourselves occupied in the meantime. You're just going to hit a brick wall if you're trying to convince anyone to join you in the negative rebellion that a few of you are trying to start. This is a start-up, this is their first real game. Support is what they need, not negativity.

We are defending the devs because we are patient and understand that a little dev team with a very ambitious project cannot simply act like a triple a title with over 100 employees like rockstar or ubisoft. No one ever said that its not okay for them to update the devblog, they havent updated it for 6 months, big woop dude, go join their team if you want insight everyday, and help them create it if you think its so easy. If you lost interest in the game as you state, you wouldn't come onto this forum to complain about the slow development. My suggestion is, really try and grasp how much time, money and effort goes into making parts of a game, let alone a huge game like this, go do some research, or talk to someone you might know, who knows how to model, program or whatever.. its not a quick task. Yeah it would be cool if they gave us a little statement every week or so about how its all going, but its never going to be enough, people will start complaining that weekly isnt enough and the devs are slacking and shit. Just get off the internet for awhile since you lost interest in the game and occupy yourself whilst they develop this, because honestly its not going to be out next month.

They are a small indie team working on an ambitious project, a type of game that has never been done before. So of course it's gonna take a while and they're going to put their time into development. Not satisfied with that? Than instead of supporting them monetarily, you could support them in the next best way possible, apply and join them on the development team. I hear they are in need of programmers. More often than not, big games like this takes teams of over 100. This is a team of what, 4-8 people working on it? If you want development to move, contact them and offer to help with programming, art or sound skills. It's better than sitting on forums complaining, right?

Also, these fucking forums are so hazardous. Like holy shit they're getting worse and worse. Like at least 4 topics have been closed and it's amazing this one hasn't been shut down. Good conversation though. I enjoyed have a knight in shining armor protect my honor. Cheers Shimo. You the man.

I don't see how hard it is to write a paragraph or two saying "hey guys, we did this, we added those codes, we added those codes, we added that jacket, we added this feature. OK that's all hope y'all like it" Seriously, how hard is that, I seriously ask you that question. I'm only 15 and have to write full papers in my animation class for a shat 2D game I made about cowboys and aliens. This dev team is all grown up, and is trying to complete a full fucking triple AAA title, and they cant write shit like that? It makes no fucking sense. It's been a year, and theirs been no dev blog update. That's lazy devs if you ask me! Iv'e had other characters so Ive been here for some time.

Well if someone is in doubt of backing because of lack of information or updates, then that is also up to the developers to take notice, in the end they need to attract people to invest. So maybe instead of answering so many question ons twitter facebook etc. Maybe they can do a decent update every week or month. But yeah if you are not sure then do not do it. There is a risk involved.

For the record, this is a pretty sizeable project and they are but a small indie team. Motown still keeps up with twitter when he can, but he is also the 3D artist for the game. If you don't feel comfortable investing the money, then don't. I for one, have faith that they are working hard on the game so I would rather them put the time to that then answering silly questions.

I backed the game, also i hope to get some more information. But still I have faith in the game and the future of it, also because the game has already a lot of backers. The developers almost always gives answers to questions asked either on facebook / twitter or here. So it is not completely silence, could they do more I think and hope so yes. @CurtisLee19941

Um, everyone who was a patron on kick starter is an investor. Especially when there is no product. People are investors if they contribute before the work is done. It's not a pre-order because there is not enough product for it to be a prepurchase. It's fine and all to support the devs but making people seem like idiots when all they require is a video on progress is not the way you should go about that. I have too much stuff going on to even play right now so i just come here for updates. If you want to just call them "customers" there better be a refund option. investors dont get refunds, customers do.

That's not the answer. This is the answer: The truth is that rushing to get Identity out there will not work, this is a small indie company, not Rockstar Games, and they will only get this one chance. The once great bastion of PC gaming, the MMO, is failing rapidly, having devolved into a series of below par games that are largely geared to grabbing as much money as possible with a minimum of effort......the dread Free to Play genre. Identity could change that, or at least help to stop the rot. The team at Asylum HAVE to get it right first time, there will be no second chances for these guys. Of course they will make mistakes along the way, they're new at this, and yes there are problems with communication, but give them time, that's what they need the most.

Not a great comparison really, not when you consider that 88% of NMS player base quit in the first week & it's launch and reception have been a total disaster.

And the bright side about upgrading is every other game you play will run smoother and Arma 3 will be maxed out finally!

A GTX 970 would definitely do the trick as far as your graphics card, but like Corn said, I would run 8 GB ram at the very minimum. What I would do, if this is an option for you, is save up about $600-700 and custom build a desktop (don't worry, it's not overly complicated if you do some research on google). It'll be worth it in the long run. Even if you're reaching minimum specs, it's gonna be slow and it will take a while to render the game world, especially if you're on a server with over 200 players.

You're trying to be a tough guy and put down this game anyway you can. You try and ruin it for anybody else because you're mad you didn't get it already.

Currently, the maximum jail sentence is 45 minutes. That could change! It's a simple value that we can set and modify on the fly, and will do so based on future testing! First off, there are two areas you may be placed in when arrested. Jail, for minor crimes lasting no more than 5-10 minutes where you will simply have to sit around in your cell, harassing the neighboring inmates until released, and Prison, for major crimes! The prison feature is like playing an entirely new game in itself! There is shanking, gangs, territory control, prison breaks, or even just social areas for those who don't want get their hands dirty! Prisoners can request a trial, and if accepted, will be sent to a court house where a jury of players will determine your fate. If acquitted, you will be released on the spot, where you can continue your life on the outside, but if found guilty, you will have to spend the remainder of your time in prison, and can choose to leave at your own will once your sentence expires.
