Posted April 27, 2017 (edited) Yes, you can cook your own food, or decide to go out for a bite to eat! You'll need to eat and drink every once in a while, because starvation/dehydration will negatively affect your character, but you won't/can't necessarily starve to death. If you look at this post by one of the devs, he goes into more depth about food and the hunger system!
