  1. Does anybody know how much will go into marketing, I know a lot will have to go to developing the game but to sustain the want for this game it needs the mainstream to know about and want to play. Does anybody know the marketing budget
  2. i know the game is made in unreal engine but will it be sold on steam or orgin?
  3. Stock Market

It would be nice to have a ingame stock market. As we have been told there will be corporations in the game, so why don't have a live stock market aswell. That way people can buy and sell into positions in the ingame companies. Would also be a cool thing if there were currencies and comodities to buy on the stock market. This would be very realistic and could give people opportunities too earn a good amount of ingame money fast (or lose!). I also hope that the bank will give people loans and stuff. These things would improve the financial system ingame and give more difference between poor and rich
  4. Hey, so to start off, my friend and i thought of this idea and thought it would be really cool and realistic, and would also fit the things already in progress. So the thing of this is based around Interior design and a Interior designer job that would allow you to buy home improvements but would make it so you couldn't just do it your self and you would have to wait for a worker, in details i am thinking about it this way. There would be a interior design job where you would be notified about an order placed by someone, and you would get the address and a list of materials needed for the job, where you would maybe have the things in your inventory and you would go to the place and would have to build the different improvements (Getting an option to begin doing the things needed and would have like a percentage of the things getting improved) and as the other things in the game and stated by the devs if no worker comes by the certain time it would automatically be placed. The thing with building markets is kinda like a second choice and a longer more time consuming thing to do where as a player if you would want a certain thing in your house instead of contacting a interior designer firm, you would have to go down to a building market and buy the stuff your self and do the things yourself as opposed to contacting the worker, where doing that would maybe cost a little bit more and you wouldn't have to be doing all the work yourself. I really think this would be a great addition to the game and would make alot of sense and improving on the realism. EDIT: (I edited the post from carpenters to interior designers, im still not 100% sure what the specific profession is called but i think it is Interior designer) Thanks for reading this suggestion, i also posted a question that will be linked below ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  6. Markets, fairs and festivals

My suggestion is that every so often a market is held in-game at the town square. This would be players coming together with basic shelters and tents to showoff and sell their products - a way to attract new customers and earn extra revenue! Also, there could be street festivals and parties. This could include film and music festivals.
  7. City Councils and Market Days

City Councils would add a life-like feature to Identity. They could regulate public transport, waste disposal and keep the streets and parks clean, as well as public buildings (ie library). They could set taxes within the city for leasing shop buildings etc to help cover the costs. Councils would be comprised of a few players. They could even organise street fairs, festivals and market days (ie farmers markets and craft markets). Markets could be a fun way to interact with people, as well as a place to make profit. (I swear i'm not spamming the ideas topic )
  8. Investment System (That Works)

Hello everyone, I am adding yet another guide that I have written in the past that will help you with making stock or business trading. This system has been tested and actually does work with little to no interaction from staff of a server, and has little to do with the actual game economy. This also coincides with my other guide for a business model found here: http://www.identityrpg.com/community/topic/1760-business-system/ ---- Business Stock Market Guide It is the objective of this guide to provide a clear view into business trading. The math is easy in the guide for a reason. This guide allows you to conduct business trading with little to no staff interaction or economic changes to the server. Example: Business A, sets a market value or valuation of $100,000. This means that the company makes $100,000 per in game session. A share of the company is worth .001% of the company in other words 1 dollar, whereas 100 shares of the company is worth 1% and in other words is an investment of $1,000. Should someone invest $1,000 into a single game period the market value of that company goes up to $101,000, this increases the value of the company, but lowers the amount of shares. A smart investor would buy when the company has a large amount of shares and a low cost, and then would sell the shares of that company to make the return OR the investor could collect a percentage from the game period's profits. Investments can carry over to other game sessions. So if "Investor A" was to invest $1,000 or 1% into a company worth $100,000, the market value of the company would increase to $101,000, The next investor that wishes to buy 1% of that company will have to pay $1,010 for the 1% share of the company. "Investor B" Invests $50,000 into the company at the rate of $1,010 per 100 shares of the company. This increases the value of the company to approximately $150,000. "Investor A" Decides to sell his or her 1% of the company for the return of $1,500, and a profit of $500, while the net value of the share only lowers to $1,490. ----------- What makes this a working system is that it requires no staff interaction to setup and use. It only requires the agreement of the businesses involved and of course lawyers and what not. This fuels a market fraud charge. ---------- Should you have any questions, or anything you would like to add to the guide, please leave a comment.
